Dr. Bob wrote in full sentences :-)

Posted by Deneb on December 14, 2005, at 18:33:59

Dr. Bob wrote in full sentences somewhere else.

I like it when he reveals what he thinks.

I like Dr. Bob. I don't know if I like the real Dr. Bob, but I like the one in my mind.

I hope he doesn't mind that I like him and that it won't be scary for him to meet me in person. I hope he will shake my hand.

Why do I like Dr. Bob? It sure is a mystery.

I'm not even sure if the Dr. Bob I like is a person. I think he is more like an entity or something. I think, "Dr. Bob" and this comforts me. I don't think of the person Dr. Bob when I think this. I think he is more like a feeling.

Do I make any sense?

Dr. Bob is really a real person, and that's really his picture. And he is very nice. You will like him in person if you go to Toronto in May. And yes, he will shake your hand. There's nothing scary about it ... well ... meeting everyone in person was a little scary the first time ... but after 30 seconds I was over it.

Are you going to the Babble Party in May annierose?

Unless something big happens, i will go.

I think people will think that I am very different in person. I'm very boring IRL. I tend to be on the fringes.

Maybe I will ask Dr. Bob questions like, "What is your favourite colour?" and see if he answers.

Did Dr. Bob talk when you met him? Does he talk in questions and incomplete sentences?

If we get to buy Babble T-shirts I would like everyone to sign mine. Do you think Dr. Bob would sign mine?

Do you think I should apologize for my inappropriate behaviours in-person? If I go to to the Babble party it will prove that I'm a real person.

Heck, if you're going to apologise for your inappropriate behaviours then I might have to start apologising for mine and we'd be there all day ;)

And we do believe you're a real person.

There's some kind of babble party in Toronto where people meet each other in real life? What's that all about? Wow, that would be interesting.....

Yes we are all real people. Wildcard and I just met. We were at her house about l5minutes away. I held her baby and played with him. And I've talked to Clear Skies and Lynn on the telephone. Fondly, Phillipa

There's going to be a Babble party in Toronto in May. Some of us are going to participate in a presentation at the American Psychiatric Association meeting on May 21. I'm hoping we get to do some fun things with Babblers and Dr. Bob.

Here is some more info about this:

The date should be May 22, not 21.

The Toronto Convention Centre should be called the Metro Toronto convention centre and the list of babblers attending should include Poet.

Yes, I am planning on going to Toronto in May. And yes, you can ask Dr. Bob questions and he will answer. He isn't the wizard in "Oz". That's not meant to be an insult, rather, he is just a regular person, not some magical figure.

All the babblers that met last summer were very nice. Just what you'd expect from people that go out of their way to support each other. Kindness all around.

It will be lots of fun. I look forward to meeting you. I think you have lots of energy, so do I.

I would love to meet Tamar too.

I'm very much looking forward to meeting you and others. Oh, it'll be so cool! I'm looking forward to travelling all by myself. I know Dr. Bob is a regular person, but he is so intriguing. He seems mysterious because he is in the background never participating.

Am I the only person who is enamoured with Dr. Bob? I wonder how it will be to meet him in person? I doubt I will say much as I'm a pretty quiet person, although, my curiosity may get the better of me. I hope he won't think I'm crazy for being a little obsessed with him. I wonder if I make him uncomfortable?

I think it would be fun to have shirts made up for the meeting May for everyone to wear that reads, " Who's your doctor?"

I think the T-shirts should say
"Please Be Civil" with a smiley :-)
or
Dr. Bob says, "..."
or
Bob's mixed nuts
or
"You're blocked!" (like "you're fired!)
or
((((((Babblers))))))
or
Toronto PB Party 2006
or
I was exhibit A at the APA LOL
or
I'm with Bob
or
Babblers Rule
