TRIGGER-T Talk/Performing for my t

Posted by allisonross on December 13, 2005, at 14:12:41

Flamenco, that is.

I'm a born performer, I guess. My first love is dance (ballet to be specific), and I could not endure....without music.

I performed (2 years ago) to O Holy Night (for my t), and now I am taking Flamenco, and he asked for a demonstration.

It is very difficult to perform in close proximity, so I have to take myself....out of myself....in order to do that.

I danced at the University (School of Music Theatre and Dance Studio) last year, and for those six and a half minutes, I got to be who I REALLY am. How i define myself.....and then....a singer, writer, poet(ess).

And......sassy....very, very sassy and naughty.

A dancer.

That will be this Sunday night.

Long, red satin gown.

Gypsy soul Flamenco music.......

Hi allisonross. There's a book by a Chicago author named Ana Castillo that is about a flamenco dancer. I think it's called, Peel My Love Like an Onion. Honestly, I started it but it didn't totally grab my interest so I didn't continue. But your post reminded me of it.... Very poetic post. I enjoyed it. :) Lucia

> Hi, Lucia (gorgeous name you have!)

That is amusing; my t said we are all "onions---we have 100's of layers that can be peeled back." I'd love that, LOL, LOL

What kind and lovely words you spoke to me----thankyou so much! Hugs, Ally

The music I will be using is called 'Obsession, confession"---the first word describes it all for me (for my t)!
