Hmmmm...
It's my light eyed cousins who suffer severe migraines, while my brown eyed cousins don't.
I always thought it was how the light was allowed into the eyes, but since migraines are also serotonin linked, perhaps not.
I think Babble is too small a group to make a representative sample, though. And there are also other qualities we have in common that would muddy trying to isolate one factor.

I doubt pigment affects the brain. Is pigment what you call the color in eyes, like skin? Anyway, you know what I'm talking about.

Well, it could also be that genes for eye color and genes for production of some sort of neurotransmitter are close together, and tend to correlate well with each other.
But isn't the human genome thoroughly mapped now? If there was a correlation, wouldn't it be known by now?

btw, mine actually look kinda brown indoors, green outdoors or in bright light.

who said swamp puddles were ugly? and i was a big fan of alligators when i was a kid :-)
swamp puddles change color with the refraction of the light. they are greenish pools of primal life. and then there's the dominance of algae.indeterminate between liquid and earth.good possibility to drown in them.
