Overcome indecision --- embrace failures

Posted by 64bowtie on May 1, 2005, at 12:05:39

I don't run away from failures without first embracing them. "Success rewards prepared minds"! Embracing my failures as they happen, enlightens me. I become better prepared...... Indecision can no longer leave us vulnerable to the highjacking and blackmailing of our feelings that sets in when we practice denial and indecision.

wow!!!!!! that's really good stuff there. let me say that i almost always listen to my inner voice instead of advice from others (i'm stubborn that way..i believe self almost always has the answers..which is one reason i will never go to a therapist), but i'll be d$##$# if that isn't really valuable advice. it is helping me deal with my current situation..i hope..if i can keep the indecision/blackmailing at bay. that was great! thanks for sharing. :)

is it okay to embrace the same failures over and over and over and over and over again?

You said you'd never go to a therapist and I went, oh, yeah... but you know if I had never gone to a therapist I think honestly I would still be way behind in my personal development, really. I use to have such Attitude when I saw my ex-T, he probably couldn't stand the sight of me, you know, oh yeah, sheesh I have to listen to that one tell me she has all the answers, again ... but if I hadn't seen that person in spite of my shameful feelings (well, I had shameful feelings about being me, sick, right?) I wouldn't have learned I was capable of loving. Sigh. Susan, you're feeling romantic today. Sigh double-sigh.

I sure hope so too (nm) » justyourlaugh
