I'm yearning for chili

And I don't even really like it.

Now there's an indicator of how frozen my toes feel.

Now THAT.. you may be able to use the Beano for....

I love chili, doesn't make me popular, but I do enjoy eating it.

Hi Dinah!
Hope you are doing fine today. I think I will go to Wendy's for lunch. Thanks for the suggestion.BTW, I don't know what you mean when you say that you're odd in real life---you're certainly not odd here!

lol. I'll remember that. :) (nm) » Glydin

I'll have to see if pictures pick up the oddness. I don't think they do. Maybe I'll try to isolate why it is. But if my therapist agrees with me, I tend to think I'm not making it up.

FWIW, I don't think you are odd at all. You are refreshingly honest, open, caring and insightful, with a courage of conviction and a generousity of spirit that seems to more and more be a dwindling commodity in today's society. If that makes you odd, then I, too, want to be odd!

Feeling warm with no chili at all. :) » jujube

Thank you.

I'm not sure I meant odd in a bad sort of way. I'm pretty sure I didn't, or I'd try harder to change it. More just like "different".

Your post was one I'll treasure and bring out at those times when I could use some warmth.

It's 26 degrees here. Wanna put your toes in the snow in my backyard?

Tho it reminded me why I don't ordinarily cook. My son apologized profusely for not liking it a bit. My husband actually liked it. Which is different from the usual result.

I miss my Daddy. My family of origin liked the way I cook.

There were times when I was a teen going to a local 'Christian Brothers' (the little old brandy makers) highschool, I would openly dismiss my Dad's very existence. He was actually a mediocre mechanic, getting emphysema from 2 pack-a-day smoking.

Today he is 84, hasn't smoked in 20 years, plays his Yamaha portable piano or his spinnette organ or his litany of 12 or so computer video games. Bob Barker and Alex Trebec are part of his daily TV watching. I see no purpose of dismissing him today. Will I miss him? Yep. Will I miss his obnoxious ways? Nope. Does this cause a dilemma for me to reconcile? Not for a second.

Since I have been his (limited) caretaker relative, will I have less to reconcile of my bad feelings of him from childhood than my siblings? Y'betcha! This you and I, dear (((Dinah))), is our gift from the 'Gods'! ...reconciled issues...
