Wow- he's gone to great measures to make sure I don't visit again... all I wanted was to see if he replied to my last message... haha.

Is he maybe defending De Bob in an odd way by say not wanting the babblers who came with a Dr Bob clique or bashing to ruin the mental health area and feel to his board? I do not know I am just thinking out loud and on board...

It would be nice to believe that a dr. and the administrator of a mental health board would be acting with such generousity of spirit and towards the greater good. I am at a loss as to whether to give him the benefit of the doubt, however, given his almost mocking welcome post and his knee-jerk treatment of Angielala. And, I am the type that always gives people the benefit of the doubt, no matter how many times they disappoint or hurt me.

I don't know I just popped that out as a point to ponder and give it all the benefit of a doubt

Well I think the benefit of the doubt is a good policy, I most definitely don't think it's a good idea to compare the two boards.
There are problems on both of them and I think a lot of what you see as the good of one over the other depends upon where you happen to be standing at the moment.

"he conducts a site where Bob bashing is not only tolerated, but endorsed"

Yes, that was one of my experiences there, and one of the two main reasons I don't wish to return.

I feel bad that you got slammed for what *I* said » Angielala

But I feel better to have decided to stop even reading over there. In such a fragile community as we have as those with mental health problems, there can be no room for narrow mindedness. I know my way around here; and I understand even if I don't agree with the rules.
As for the other site, there is no unringing of the bell. What's been said, even though erased, left its trace of ill feeling.

What's this about you going away Friday?

It doesn't matter what anyone said anymore. I didn't really want to be on another board the way I am over here... I was just trying to get some ideas from people as far as where doctors might be found...
No of this really matters. I have my PB peeps and that's all I need.

I'm sorry that you didn't receive the support that you needed at Psych Central. I haven't seen the thread that led to your disciplinary action over there, but I have had friends get PBC'd and blocked on *this* site (in the past) for infractions with which I disagreed. So I'm not saying that our "site Docs" are infallible.

Still, I feel a trifled disconcerted to read posts of Dr. John's "private" messages to you, along with words like, "Dr. John...you will be sorry." Hey, watch out! What if his house was coincidentally TP'd tonight? ;-) (Kidding aside, it did kind of scare me to read that.) If you *told* him you were going public with the PM's, then I apologize. It's just that I know I would feel violated if someone published my PM's online, *even* if I had been a stinker to that person. Two wrongs and all that...

It just added another layer to an already unpleasant situation when I read those things. I have a hard time accepting that Dr. John regrets welcoming *me* to his Community from PB. However, since that's what you posted (in a public forum) that he said, I will be providing this link to him and asking for his response or clarification to your report of his comments. Just for my personal satisfaction, mind. If that's what he honestly meant to say then I don't much care to lurk there anymore. I'll just go back to lurking nowhere.

I was thinking that perhaps you made the comment about Dr. John because you're just really overwrought right now? You've got a lot to think about and a lot to look forward to! Maybe you're just really worrying about what that poster said to you about your meds re: pregnancy and it's gotten under your skin? Then getting blocked from Psych Central when you were looking for help must have stung, I know. Try to stay positive and not to take it to heart too much. Both of these sites have their own quirks and we all have admin disagreements at one time or another. Like you said, you've got PB to keep you company for now.

Good luck with your little peanut.

I have absolutely no comment to make that could possibly meet the civility guidelines of this board in reference to your comment. It just boggles the mind.

If this was a wrong postings that should've been on another board than I sincerely offer my apologies to Bobby for my comment. With the name John and in this particular thread, it appeared to be connected to pc. I'm sorry Bobby, if I have made a mistake.

I was just trying to make a little joke, since although I am sure that Bobby was talking about this thread, there happens to be one that touches on that particular meaning of the word, on the Relationships board.

It's not a good day for joking, though.

Oh ok, that obviously went over my head. duh!!! I guess I take my apology back and my original comments stand.

I know ALL the words to that song. He was such a lovable, geeky guy.
EVERYBODY SING:

It's a beautiful day in the neighbourhood
A beautiful for a neighbour
Would you be mine?
Could you be mine?
It's a beautiful day in this beauty wood
A beautiful day for a beauty
Would you be mine?
Could you be mine

I have always wanted to have a neighbour
Just like you
I've always wanted to live in a neighbourhood
With you, so -

Let's make the most of this beautiful day
Since we're together, we might as well say
Would you be mine?
Could you be mine?
Won't you be
My neighbour.

Won't you please?
Won't you please?
Please, won't you be
My neighbour.

(tie dorky sneakers and close the closet door....)

love,
partlycloudy
