Hi folks,
For those interested in cicadas, (and who isn't?), I posted some pics. Also there are a couple photos of the wreck. Sure doesn't take much to total an 11 year old car.Oops, almost forgot the link:

Sorry about your car. Glad you are ok!

My goodness, GG, that other car slammed right into the drivers' side! I'm so glad you're ok. Somehow I had missed that you were hit so directly. Must have been very scary! Sorry I didn't respond earlier (crazy schedule preventing posting), but I've caught up now and want to let you know how glad I am that you weren't hurt.
And thanks for the cicada pictures. My husband is all bummed that we're not living in cicada central this year. He grew up in Ohio, and loves the cicada swarms. I'm ok with missing it, personally, but I agree with him that it's a cool phenomenon, even if also a bit freaky and inconvenient.

Peg,
So glad you liked the cicada pics. I know some people who were grossed out and some who won't look. :) I'd be glad to ship you and your hubby a few million if you like! They'd probably smell to high heaven by the time you received them.Re the accident, yeah, it was scary. More than I first realized. I'm glad I floored it instead of braking. Yikes! Might be on crutches right now.
Come back to Ohio and see us sometime! :)
Thanks again!gg

No no no. The seventies revival in fashion is clearly over, so I couldn't have been wearing that shirt. It was actually a cut out sweatshirt off of my shoulder, with leg warmers and tight-rolled jeans!
What are you thinking?
;)

I love the cicada pix! We don't have nearly as many. I must admit I am disappointed.
My daughter is 17. I want to get her a shirt that says "Brood X". So much more expressive than "Gen X" was.
I.
