Who are we?

Posted by sdjeff on April 28, 2004, at 1:46:59

I thought it might be interesting to do a little profile in some facts about ourselves. Might be fun.

I'll start.

My real name is Jeff
I'm 26, male
I live in Utah, USA (Or planet Zion, your preference)
Dx is MD w/GAD with BPD and BPII traits
I love my daughter and I kinda love my turtle but the fish gotta go
No major talents. I like computers, MIDI music and playing with my daughter.
I'm a Babble addict.

That's enough for now.

Ok, I bared my soul, now it's your turn to say as much or as little as you like. :)

Um, I look like a frog this morning because I cried for HOURS yesterday and my eyes are googly-looking. I might be pretty to Kermit, but that's it.

My clothing IS pretty coordinated today. I was hoping to distract people from looking at my face.

remember rainyday, you look bautiful when you cry! (nm)

I'm Penny - only a select few know my 'real' name.

27, female

I live in Central North Carolina, in the Triangle

Dx is Mood Disorders NOS

I love my two dogs (Puddin' and Penny), my new kitten, Pip, my fish, Mr. Betta Man, and my aquatic frog, Spot.

I enjoy singing, I hate my work (public relations), and I would love to learn to play the piano. I'm also going to be applying to an MSW program this fall.

I'm not on babble as much as I'd like to be, b/c I don't have the time. But I love my fellow babblers, and I've made some wonderful friends on here.

Cheers! And thanks, Jeff!

Computers - Macs only (I'm a Graphic Artist)

Music - pretty much all kinds except country, I especially like European bands like Radiohead, Bjork and Air.

Books - especially by Stephen King, Michael Chriton (I always spell his name wrong), and Ann Rice, but I'll read anything. I think its the best escape ever.

Movies - I'm particularly into sci-fi and horror, but I like many from all generes.

I guess that's it, I hope nobody I know gets on this site and figures out who I am, but I like being able to share things like this with yall.

41 female living in So Cal, originally from midwest, divorced, childless, one nameless cat, my Dx is BPII though I'm barely medicated at all so sometimes I wonder about it. Lately my hobby is sewing, before that knitting, before that painting, and other crafts, beadwork, wirework, papermaking, I pretty much just like making stuff. I used to read tons of books, now I do tons of websurfing. I like to say I'm a babble regular-- sounds better than addict.

Ok. My real name is Kid Canasta (I used to be a world famous card player)
I live in a small village in Guam. I'd tell you the name, but it's just too darn hard to spell. Emotionally I am about seven and a half years old. Chronologically I am eleven or so. I have two incredible children who are basically the reason I'm still here. I also have two dogs(who I love almost as much as my kids) and a Green Anole named Lizzy, who not unlike my children, basically eats sleeps and poops.(But fortunately she hasn't figured out how to get into my wallet yet) I am an Electrical Engineer and a pretty much retired professional musician. I enjoy warm summer nights.....running naked through my neighborhhod. The cops have only caught me twice. My favorite movie is Dancin' to the Oldies starring Richard Simmons. If crowned queen, I promise to end all bad stuff in the world....er...um...sorry got off track a bit. Babies and animals almost always like me. Grownups and the police apparently don't. I could say more, but I'd better stop now. Wouldn't want to slip up and start talking about that incident at the zoo....Dam...forget I even mentioned that!!

Peace
kid

Wow! That's exciting! Good luck.

I am so impressed by dancers because I just can't dance. I might be able to get the foot movements, but my hips and shoulders do not move. Not a bit. And I have no sense of rhythm at all. I have to clap in time to music by watching others.

My real name is Autumn

30 (boo hoo), definately female

I live in Maine, the vacation state. I'm very proud to live in Maine, so if you have a problem with it, let's have it out.

My Dx is bipolar II, I think, but more likely just 'mood disorder' of some confusing type. I'm moody, really moody.

3 kids in 3 years (yikes!), all ages 5 and under (yikes again!!), husband who is my hero, one puppy, 3 cats, one of whom is pregnant and due any day. Cannot reconcile my dream of child/animal filled house with the fact that choas stresses me out to point of nervous breakdown. Have not learned my lesson.

Creative and intense, potter and Bible student, very inspired by God as of late. Love to live in my head.

I'm kind of a babble troll and post once in a while but feel like a stranger with periodic breakdowns, which is when I post to receive help. Would like to be normal and offer help to others, but too frail at the moment.

I have to clap in time to music by watching others.

*sadly, i can't even keep up by watching others.. i still lose track and become confused. i hate when i go to a concert and they scream "clap your hands!" because i can't! i still try, but somewhere along the way the message gets lost and i'm clapping twice when i should only be clapping once.

kid, you're something else, you know it? or, should i be calling you mr. canasta? i was going to say something about your inner child, but i'm afraid it's highly uncivil and i don't want to get banned.

now, you said something about running through your streets naked. did you steal that from octo and me? you're stealing my material now kid, and we can't have this exchange of meaningless information going on, can we?

and you also said that babies and animals almost always like you. i'm rather young you know. perhaps that is why i find you so very fascinating? or perhaps it's because i'm an animal?

mr. canasta, you never did mention how much money you make. i'm quite interested in knowing. do tell please....

i'm curious to know as well, in guam can you drink the water? is it safe? may i visit sometime? do you wear a skirt? do you have high speed internet? what time does the sun set? what do you do for fun? do you play the banjo? do you sleep on the floor when you have trouble sleeping, or do you sleep on the couch? do you look like richard simmons? is your wife really as mean as you say she is? do you believe in aliens? do you think your an alien? do you think i'm an alien? do you think all done's an alien (i do!!)?

i'll ask more questions if you answer these..

lol. I didn't say I did it well! But that's the only way I can do it *at all*. I am seriously rhythm challenged and have learned to clap silently so that at least I don't disturb anyone.

Three kids in three years? I'd think there was something seriously wrong with you if you *didn't* have mood disturbances!

My one knocked me for a loop and I didn't recover for nearly a year.

How old are yours now?
