well at lower doses i didn't have that problem but at 20 mg i do. the welbutrin is supposed to help that.. i have also heard of woman takeing viagra a couple hours b/4 sex and it helps ya get that done!!! ya kinda take the enjoyment out of all things as if i didn't have rough enough time with sex in the 1st place.

I wanted to try again to make sure I really can post...It took me like 30 minutes to figure it out...I also read around a bit and see the other smoker on here is bride2be? I think...did you start smoking more when you started Lex? I swear I have smoked two packs today...I enjoyed reading the posts, The ones about the mall are oh too familiar. I am ready to stop suffering and start being normal. I have a stttttrrrreessssful job, teaching sixthgraders that wont be quiet, ever, math, and with this wedding coming up, I hope I dont gain a crapload of weight over the next two months...I have lost 25 since stopping paxi, but i GAINED 50 on it!!!!!!I was all svelte and hot at 145, and then before I knew it I was 195, in like 5 months!!I am a plump 170 right now and would like to lose a bit more before the wedding, is this possible or am I dreaming? Will this still endear me to chubby-dome, or have most of you found it hasnt caused a lot of weight?

A med change two months before your wedding? I wish you a fast and smooth transition!
I don't think that Lexapro is as notorious for weight gain as Paxil. It seems that most people can maintain their weight fairly well on Lexapro. Anyway, between your med change, your job, and your upcoming wedding, I would say you have enough stress without trying to go on a major diet on top of it all. Maybe just exercise right now would help you to firm up, reduce stress, and feel better overall.

Welcome and glad you found us...WE are a great great group ...you couldnt find more support than in here and we are here to help you...So come often and stay late hahhah...Why did you go on meds??>>>I was on paxil for over 5 years on 20 or maybe 30 for 3 years and stayed at what my dr always said was a placebo 10mgs for 2 years...I did gain 50lbs also..Not sure if it was because I ate more and was less depressed or just that is was the meds (so dont get nervous Mags doesnt happen to everyone)...The paxil worked great for me but had just needed something different...and at 10mgs it wasnt doing much but I did lose weight..
A wedding that is going to be great june?..We will all be here for you and try to get you through when you need us and listen to the exciting details when you have them...SO keep posting and Have a great Easter...Mystic

Thank you all for being so welcoming!! I went on paxil about two years ago for panic attacks, then thinking I was cured, I guess that really never happens totally, I went off of them for a year, and then starting around my bachelorette party,in March, I started getting them again. It was a shame, because I had girls come here from all over the place, some traveling 14 hours to be with me! They spoiled me and bought me a great weber grill and I was surrounded by so much goodness, I was surprised I started having them again. It seems like I am more likely to have one the safer I am...weird...I eventually ended up having a good time anyways..but I went to the doc about a week later and decided I should go back on, then as soon as I got home from the doc I had this radiating paqin in my jaw...I thought heart attack!!Then I thought, I am making this up, then it hurt so bad I KNEW I wasnt making it up...so I waited and went to the ER two days later, and they gave me some antibiotics and pain meds, so I was afraid to start the lex because of all these other drugs...turns out I went to an endodontist and yes, I had a 400$ root canal soon to be followed here by a 500$ crown..LOVELY. I have calmed down, realized I DONT have a brain tumor, I don't have MS, I don't have cervical cancer, and it was just a root canal..So I started on the LEX and am ready to go!! I can't wait to tell you guys all about my wedding plans, if you would like to hear!!! The coolest parts so far..MY DRESS...killer. It has colored embroidary-pink, green, yellow, blue, and purple flowers, the girls are wearing one of each color in the dress, and the favors are going to be chapsticks:) There is so much more to tell, but I will spare you all for now:) Have a great remainder of the weekend!

I also work for a dentist and just got done with 2 root canals...2 posts and 2 crowns along with a wisdom tooth removal...And I have great teeth up until now..hahhah But very grateful that I work in the dental field because all that work wouldve been close to 6,000...and didnt have to pay a thing...Have been an office manager for over 5 years and worked for a pediatric dentist before that for 5 years....

I am a young/old 28..No therapy yet, dont really know how to find someone...I am on 10mg a day. You are the luckiest ever to not have to pay for all that work!!!This is the third one Ive had...I just have had a lot of fillings since I was young, Ive had all but one replaced with the white stuff instead of the silver stuff...I seriously have a very expensive car in my mouth...It wouldnt bother me as much if I were paying for something you could actually see, as they are all back teeth...UGH! I HAD to have it done though, it wasnt far back enough to have pulled, and I am understading pulling them isnt the best answer..I floss, brush, use extra stuff fluoride, and still..I inherited the mantal state and the bad teeth from mom..I still love her though...More deets on the wedding soon:)

Ehhh yeah is sure was...My fillings were bad I guess, they told me I should have them replaced..The guy I went to all my life was old fashioned, i think and didnt even have a hygenist, but way back then my parents did know how important that would be I guess, so basically the first time I had my teeth prifessionally cleaned gums and all was about 4 years ago..Now i go every six months and they do scaling I believe..I probably sound like I look like Billy Bob, but in all honesty, my teeth dont look bad, and they shouldnt after all of the work that has been done!!!
PS I am glad to have a dental friend now!

No I dont think that at all...I have great teeth but the same here I didnt get the best care when I was a child you wouldnt know my teeth are beautiful straight and great teeth but most of the back ones have root canals and crowns and stuff like that..but years ago they wouldnt even save your teeth so grateful that they do now..We also take care of dentures and let me tell you mentally that is definately not the way to go..and extracting any teeth that can be saved is not the way to go either..I now that a lot of people including myself has a problem with teeth clenching or grinding with this med so be aware you might have to get a nightguard which you were to prevent you from any more dental work by clenching or grinding and breaking your teeth just an fyi...Shit I ate way too much now cant believe the extreme diet I will have to go on tomorrow not to mention what to do with all this candy..My daughter makes me an easter basket every year and knows exactly what I like and she isnt even here to help me eat it...I have no willpower..I love those cadbury mini eggs..mmmm she got me little packages so she said I dont have to open a big one all at once and eat it...nice how thoughtful..Well I'm off to watch more sex in the city..You didnt say if you watched that show or not actually it isnt on anymore but I have it on In Demand through cable...Talk to you later...How are you feeling today????...Mystic

Happy Easter. Hope the Easter Bunny was good to all of you. My mom and dad gave me some gift certificts to Limited and Victora Secrect. My boyfriend sent me an easter basket with wayyyyy too much chocolate, I am going to grow right out of the new clothes I bought this weekend! It has been really nice having my mom come, I think so much of my depression comes from being alone up here ALL the time! I have not felt sad any of the time that she has been here so hopefully, this trip will last me the next 12 days until I actually move from this place. Its been 9 months and I am finally going home, just have to hold on a little longer. Anyway, welcome Anakin, love the dress, you and Bridetobe will probably have a lot to talk about, as for me, I am still waiting for my boyfriend to pop the question...

Sorry I haven't been posting much lately. It has been a very busy weekend for me; lots of yard work yesterday because it was our disposal company's "spring cleanup" day, when they let you bring all kinds of yard debris, broken appliances, etc. and dump it FOR FREE! My son, 2 grsons and I did a job on an apple tree (with HAND saws, I might add!) and it is almost gone now.
Then, last night the two grsons stayed over, and it was egg coloring and potato salad/baked bean prep. All the kids and grkids came today and we had a great time.
My brain is still feeling pretty foggy, but I am going to stay at 10mg Lex until my next dr. appt, which is the 26th. I do better when I am working, especially when I have a lot home visits scheduled - gets my mind aimed at helping others, and I don't have time to be tired.
Mystic, I'm glad to hear you found your way to Babble Open - maybe I will see you there:~)
Magdalena, you are so sweet . . . you are always thinking of others, even when you are going through the hardest of times.
Trucker, I will pray for peace over you and your husband. Everything happens for a reason, and I believe that this time is for something good, because you deserve it and it is your turn.
