You too? :(

Oh my oh my. So many leavings lately. A break only I hope. The board just wouldn't be the same without you.

What a relief! :)

How are you these days, Slinky? I've been so lost in my self absorbed world that I feel I've lost touch with others.

Karen,

I'm must say I'm very proud of you. Sometimes it's so hard, but it looks like you're taking care of yourself this time. And I know, you're not leaving - just slowing down. Seems like a good thing to do if you're feeling at all overwhelmed, sad, confused, well, you get the point. Put yourself first (because you are number one, you know :)) and the rest will fall into place.

You know where to find me if you need anything.

(((KK)))

Take care,
L

Please don't leave. :( I would really miss having a sweet playmate. I know...I don't post as often as I should...just having a bad time. This month is a horrid "anniversary", and I have to double up on meds this time of year. Please stay..I'll play any game you want. ;-)

Two liters of water? Well, I suppose that sounds very healthy. Maybe that's what is making your depression lift some. I hear that we're all underhydrated. I'm not sure I drank two liters though, even when I was pregnant.

Ugh, don't mention food. :) I'm up in the wee hours living with the aftermath of the fabulously delicious pizza that sent me careening to sleep earlier. Diabetes and glucophage is enough to make a Puritan out of me. Enjoy myself and I'm sure to pay later.

I'm glad you're recovering, Slinky dearest. And I hope that temporary cure lasts a while.

Oh good! (delighted clap) I needed a Gabbi. :) (nm) » Slinky

Umm, not until you heed the advice of your big sister.

Umm, no.

Thank you. Quit being afraid, though.

You know, I've always wanted a little sister. Not too little, though. You're just right. This is working out quite nicely, I believe :).

If we are going to have a pageant for our dogs, I would like to enter my two adorable charming puppies. There will have to be two first prizes, because the judges won't be able to pick between my two (although Patches will then tell them in no uncertain terms that she's the Alpha dog in this house so she should win). The rest of the dogs can compete for the lower places.

Ahem. My Harry will tell you all that he is not only a Champion, but should have been Best in Show at Westminster but for the shortsightedness of a few foolish judges.

Plus being thoroughly obedience trained, and having in addtion thoroughly trained his devoted mistress.

Harry will tell you that surely he would win any contest anywhere (except the modesty and humility contest, which he grudgingly concedes).

Well, this has gotten entirely out of control hasn't it? It appears we need an impartial judge with a calculator watch to figure this out. Do you think Dr. Bob wears one? If not, I'm sure kid would loan him his just for the Dog Show. This way, points could be given and the results tallied in such a way that would prove what we already know - my dog is the best by far! She's cute, cuddly, and plays well with other dogs. Oh, and she doesn't stink.

To be included in the judging.. we have an adorable four-year old English Springer Spaniel, with beautiful dark eyes and a mix of warm brown and white all over her coat. She never stops wagging her tail, except when she sleeps- which she prefers to do on top of one of us, or at least with her head resting on one of our legs. I think she has truly kept us going- through my husband's recurrent prostate cancer (now considered cured), and the worst of my depression (now much better). So here's one small vote for Rosy!

Hmm,

Now there are at least 4 spaniels in the competition. I have a buff English Cocker Spaniel and a black and white American Cocker Spaniel. And someone else here on Babble has a spaniel, if my memory doesn't fail me (which it does often).

We had Springers growing up, and I had one when my kids were very little.

Should be quite the competition.

My mutt, Daily is part Cocker spaniel. Also part beagle and part basset hound, if you can believe it. As a puppy she looked like the rest of the beagle looking litter, except she had these long hairs sticking out from the short coat. She also must have some kind of terrier in her, perhaps Schnauzer. But definitely the cutest. And she wags in her sleep at times. Also whimpers and barks in her sleep, but with her mouth closed, so she sounds really funny, kind of like "mmmphhk". Wonder what she dreams about.
