I got a rejection letter from the university I really, really wanted to go to this week.

'I think I am going to try to take more classes and try again. A couple more "A's" should put me over the edge for consideration. But I already have almost enough credits for a full degree.
This rejection has really taken the wind out of my sales.

I am sorry...and that is a good idea..take a few more classes get a few more A's then with your GPA up ..you'll get in and add some more volunteer work they eat that up.

I'm really glad you are not giving up on trying to get in. I truly believe that 99% of success in school is perseverance, and you are showing you have what it takes. Who knows what criteria are being applied, or whatever else they're using to screen applicants (I think the square root of your social security number is part of the formula...).

I don't know if this will work...but I took a few first year courses I hadn't taken to boost my grades, and that seemed to help, so I was told. Find something really simple...like a film course on "80's TV Shows"..heh. There where a number of first year philosophy courses, so I just took a similar one that I had taken when I first started. I used much of my original course material to help, and got a very easy A+ in the course.
Anyhow..let me know what route you are taking.

I was rejected from my first choice of college as well and I went to my second choice. Turned out to be the best thing for me. I had experiences and received an education I never would have gotten at the my first choice.

I swear this has something to do with the correlation of your height and the square root of your SSN...
A former husband of mine got rejected from HIS first choice, but then Harvard accepted him into their master's program.
