When I left my first husband, I made a plan; it took me 9 mo's to carry it out, but I did it. I'm not saying that *MY* plan would work for you, but *A* plan might not be a bad idea. Plus, it would give you some goals, and something to look forward to, rather than something to dread every day.

Just a thought.

{{{ jlynne ))) thanks and I do have an ex husband but my life and situation now is different...I have no cash on my own and no job...dont think I can hold one right now....no place to go with all my pets so its stay till I have no other choice and we are so broke we lose all we have and then..whatever happens happens...What you said makes PERFECT SENSE it isnt workable for me...cause the only out is...a new dude with cash..or winning the lottery..or working THUS being WELL WITH NO ANXIETY AND FAST so I can work..I dont see any of that happening..sadly

Well, it sounds like you are working on a pretty important goal already - getting your anxiety under control, right?

How about this:

Goal #1: get anxiety under control

Goal #2: make a plan

There. Now you have a plan!

(((Here's to you!)))

. . . guess you've probably already heard any advice I might be able to give, huh?

So, what is going to happen . . . are you for sure going to lose your house?

I was forced to sell a house once - years ago when my kids were small. It turned out to be a good thing for me - got me out of the town I was living in (bad influences).

Gosh, that was a lifetime ago. My kids have kids now!

I prefer being single, too [now]. But this is the first time in my life I have ever lived alone; I always had the kids when I was single before. My husband left me last summer after 17yrs together - no warning, just a note on my chair when I came home from work. That is why the severe depression now, tho I have suffered from chronic depression most of my life.

We had a really nice day today; sunny and warm. I slept until noon, but still got a lot of work done in the yard and did some cleaning in my garage. [I refinanced the house and bought my husband's interest in it when we divorced]

I have a little pond in the back yard that I built myself, and I cleaned out the pump today so now the waterfall is running a lot faster. I also got my auto sprinkler system turned back on - that is a chore I hate, cuz I have to reach way down in a hole to turn the handle and it's really hard to turn. But I did it - 'cuz "I AM WOMAN!" . . . I'm going to make the hole bigger this summer.

I like working in the yard and around the house, remodeling and stuff. I am not ready to start dating again yet, so I just keep myself busy with things like that.

Sometimes it gets to me, though, like . . . who the @#?! cares if anything gets done?? It has been almost impossible for me to invite anyone to my home since my husband left - so I wonder who I am doing all this work for?? That's only on bad days, though, and the bad days don't come as close together as they used to.

Geez . . . you really got me started. It must be getting pretty late for you, huh? It's only 10:30 pm here. Don't forget Daylight Savings tonight:)

((((yawn))))

Well, Fallen, I don't know how old you are, but I hope you find what you are looking for before you are my age. It is really hard to start over again now . . .

How long have you been treating for anxiety? Are you seeing improvement? (questions, questions)

If you read this tonight, you don't have to answer tonight - I know you need to go to bed:~)

Sleep well:~)

I'm kind of in the same place as you are, regarding work not husband. I don't like it. OK, I hate it. But I doubt my ability to find another job that fits my special emotional needs (how's that for saying one where my instability won't get me fired) and that will pay enough to go to therapy.

But every once in a while a still small voice asks if it isn't true that the majority of my anxiety is *caused* by my job, and if I found one that wasn't so stressful I wouldn't melt down so often or (heaven forbid) need as much therapy.

Could the same thing be true with your husband? That you wouldn't be so anxious and would be more able to work if you were away from a bad situation?

Of course, having that insight hasn't caused me to quit my job, and in fact I'm heading off there now. :(
