Loneliness, T, and other stuff...

Posted by Asya on March 26, 2004, at 17:45:02

All,
Sorry to be out of touch for a long time. My love to you all. I am feeling so sad and lonely tonight, both as a result of my session and other stuff. I guess my biggest concern is my T doesn't discuss termination and I am too scared of it and I know it's coming up because I am moving a few towns away soon. Anyhow, I don't have the guts to bring it up, I feel so awkward. But then, not bringing it up makes me feel more uneasy. And I am so sad, I have no friends, bad relationship with family, etc. I don't know, I wish life wasn't so full of uncertainty and pain...the T thing makes it all SO MUCH HARDER

(((Asya))))

Good to see your lovely name on the screen once again. You said you are moving, is that a good thing for you? I know you've talked before about your living situation not being the greatest, so is the move a good one? I hope so...

I have a problem with avoiding talking about things like termination. But, one day my therapist, out of the blue said something about switching me to a group (group what? this could be fun). And switch he did. So, in avoiding talking about things like this, you can end up in a predicament. If the time is coming soon for you to leave your therapist, it's best to bring it up so you can be prepared for the departure. It would be so bad to abruptly end therapy without having some sort of closure (is closure possible?). I bet it won't be nearly as hard as you think. If she (???I think you said that once) is a good therapist, she'll help put your mind at ease. Not just about moving, but also about ending therapy (in this town), the move, and many other aspects of your life.

Good luck dear, and I'm sorry you're lonely. If it helps, I'm lonely too. We can be lonely together :)
