Oh, Joy! Next Wednesday is WORLD TOILET DAY!

Posted by Destroyo on November 15, 2003, at 19:07:59

See www.worldtoilet.org Why, I feel almost like a kid again, now that WORLD TOILET DAY is almost here!
Don't tell me that I have an arrested personality disorder, I already know that! And I couldn't be happier about it!

Why do people wear boring drone timepieces? There are alternatives. See www.hamiltonwatch.com
I myself am known to sport the "Wilshire" (1920's), with honey leather band, from the "classic" collection, and the "Everest Medium" (1958), from the "style collection". Hamiltons aren't all that expensive.

I'm all a' tizzy over World Toilet Day (Nov. 19), aren't you all? Remember, wipe throughly....and don't forget to flush!

how did you find this out? (nm)

Well, you see, Karen, I happen to hold the most important job in the world, for I am no less than WORLD TOILET COMMISSSIONER!

No, seriously there's a weird "alternative news" website, www.rense.com that had a link to it.

You know, Karen, people keep telling me that I'm full of s***; but on WORLD TOILET DAY, to be "full of it", is to be full of JOY!

The Art of the Pun is underappreciated. Needless to say, your pun did not amuse me, but it did inflict a great deal of pain; which of course is what puns are all about :-)

I refuse to celebrate this holiday. Therefore I will not be using the restroom the entire day on Wednesday. I urge everyone else in joining me to rid the world of pointless holiday celebrations. I will do my business outside all day on Wednesday. I'll report how it goes on Thursday. Karen

Destroyo, you are halarious!!!! I, too, have a very scatalogical mind and find a lot of humor in such things- as they are harmless and everyone has bodily functions. Last night while watching TV
(sometimes a black hole for your mind), I saw an infommercial for a bidet. I have always thought they were very practical and a great idea. Europeans have always used them and don't bat an eyelash about it. But true to form, this American commercial tried to play down all references to anything bodily (with tacky euphimisms like "cleanliness and freshness") and be so PC, it got nausiating! Kind of strange that people will gladly wear jeans in this country that show almost the entire crack of one's behind, but even the mere mention of something bodily will send people grimacing toward the exit!

When I was over in Britain, I saw a laundry detergent commercial which touted the ability of the brand to remove "biological stains", while a woman held up a pair of man's underwear. Seems a practical application of detergent, if you ask me, but you'd never see anything like that over this side of "the Pond".

I have been to Britain many times and instead of a sign saying restrooms or bathrooms, there were signs that simply said "Toilet". Very practical. "Biological stains"- that is a hoot!!!! But once again, a detergent for it, very practical indeed. (I hope I am not offending other posters here. My humor is not everyone's humor.)
