I have a 'thing" for native american men. I don't know what it is about them but they have 'something' that just makes my knees weak.
However, I'm not sure the bunny slippers would do anything for me. lol

Oh my Tabi thats truly... something.
How how.. very much like Mrs Poole.
Who collected snowglobes from around the world.
"And this one is from Uganda"

I loved Mrs Poole, because of that, not in spite of it.
You're funny : 0

>and has long luxurious black hair, a suede-like loincloth, and a kit to make beaded jewelry.

Wow all that and he makes jewelry too. :D What does he charge per hour?

You have somehow managed to touch upon nearly every one of my um, well...they're not fears...more like..."challenge areas". Yeah that's it.
Bunny slippers fine.
Native American man fine (!) but doll: not fine.
No dolls are fine. Esp. porcelain doll heads and hands!!!! that's just beyond freaky-creepish and thanks a mil, really, because I couldn't sleep already.
My sister drives this big white van...bigger than a minivan- you know, a "van-van". And she bought a hula dancer for the dash and darnit I'm occupied on every trip we take.

And finally we visit the mask arena. Costume ball-type masks are horrid and disturbing. Oh yeah, and comedy and tragedy masks (has nothing to do with my bipolar business, I swear) wig me out too. Add some glitter and well. Well, just thanks a whole right lot.

You left out the clowns and marionettes, which I do appreciate.

Now excuse me while I go deadbolt my door. Wait- i hear a scratching sound on the window..."Lettttt meeeee innnnn" in a whisper. Ah so what was that? Damien? The Omen something?

Yeah you and your innocent flippant little romp in the craft store.
Grr.
I mean, good night.
You're a hoot.

It all turned out so lovely! Well, except for the masks which I didn't do yet. NA man now sports attractive beaded accessories and black nail polish in addition to the bunny slippers. I want to put a tiny bouquet of flowers in his hand, which will be stretched out in eternal offering to me, his princess.

Dashboard angel is sooo fabulous with her glittery hair streaks, long black eyelashes, ruby red lips and nails, and jeweled necklace and earrings. She holds up her hands as if to hold a giant orb of good driving karma.

I'm looking at my plain white mantel clock, and the glitter glue assortment, and those remaining rhinestones, and, ...

Everything looks better with glitter and rhinestones!

That was cruel. How could I resist after that?
Ironically I was pleasantly surprised.

>eternal offering to me, his princess.
I feel a shrine in the making. Male dolls, from every culture, neatly placed in a semicircle around a marble (type- you know, it would have to be faux) platform. So NA man with flowers...perhaps a Bengalese prince(ok it's getting late...are there princes in Bengal? No. All right) offerring jewels...
We could go on forever you know.

>glittery hair streaks,
now that was an unexpected touch of brilliance! But glittery hair, long black lashes...you trust her orb???

>Everything looks better with glitter and rhinestones!
Please spare the toilet seats.
Please.

in full sad-clown makeup, with a tight black unitard and striped tights. And big shoes. Not red ones either missy. Freako Cirque du Soleil shoes.
Shhh...wait...is that Celine singing in the background???

Certainly not the actual seat. Maybe the lid.

Reminds me, I once spent a few minutes debating whether to buy a clear acrylic toilet seat/lid thing with dozens of tiny rubber ducks embedded within the acrylic. I left the store without it.

Ah now ducks are a completely different realm. I woulda gone for that. I mean it's not like I ever have prime ministers for tea. And what if I did, dernit??!! I like the silly little soap dispensers with little dangling animals and whatnot inside of the dispenser, diarama (spelling, anyone? Nah, I really don't think I'll ever use it again) style. They have little fishy ones that *aw to doi faw*.

Have a happy fishy day.

Those terrible crowns that used to be seen on various dashes...gone...you have the new style!!

I think the Caucasian features on the NA have to do with the fact that we still won't admit what the 'settlers did

or it has to do with the blending of bodily fluids and one generation later...

i have not done a paint by numbers in years--the "last supper" is an excellent choice.

now that I look closely, I think not caucasion, but more half caucasian half african. quite square-jawed but with a wide nose and full lips. Definitly not very asian at all. I think they were just trying to get by with using one mold for different doll races.

I've figured out where he goes... attached to my bedside table lamp. I'll need another for the other lamp. Maybe the white guy with the boxer shorts (did I mention the white man doll was dressed in boxers?). I can help him get in touch with his feminine side by dressing his feet in the pink ballerina slippers. And in his hand... a jewel! A jeweled ring!

Dashboard crowns? I'm not familiar with this at all. My goddess is finished, now I have to find some of that museum wax stuff to attach her. I had second thoughts on the hot glue idea. I can just picture her getting knocked loose and leaving a big puddle of non-reusable glue on the dash. In the light of day I realize one side of her eye makeup is a bit gloppy, but, oh well. Even a goddess doesn't always have a steady hand with the mascara wand.

The mask, the mask. Needs eyeballs! Suspended behind the openings. They have round wooden balls, I can paint them, drill holes, put a wire thru. The iris will be star-shaped. Or there can be multiple shapes, I can rotate the balls for different effects. Yes.

I take back the clown comment I do.
Or was that clowns, were they the kind with those wide grinning mouths or the round open ones,
Did I mention whether they had those WIDE OPen
expressive eyes, or those sinister slitted ones..
Oh gosh, I can't remember.

I couldn't ever swing on a trapeze as my tuckus

There is a historical reason you may be aware of in your subconscious which could explain why clowns frighten you, and a lot of other people.

But i swear they only let him babysit 2 times. The removable but not funny red nose. The little honking horn...I hear a horn on a child's bike today and run for the hedges. Then the unicycle...

Now back to sequins, fluffy feet and sick little beheaded dolls that are now getting eyes which will send me over the edge.
Tabitha- please put "Trigger" on your next one if we're talkin' eyes...

and I'm really having some strange impulse to make art out of dolls and doll parts.

No kidding!

Now if I mention care bears you'll think it's a joke... but if I go to the BurningMan festival my camp theme is going to be the Care Bears and Fluffy Bunnies camp. It's all going to be cliche happy imagery. Rainbows, flowers, suns, and cute cuddly baby animals painted on my shade structure and arranged on my camp lawn.

I told a friend I was going to attach stuffed animals on stakes around the perimeter of my camp, and he thought I meant stabbed through their hearts (maybe with fake blood?) and I couldn't convince him I meant no, just arranged nicely.

It's all about,, how much happiness and innocence can you stand without squirming? Can you (the viewer) actually let yourself respond to the happiness and innocence imagery? What happens if you try? Where did that come from?
