c and the pdoc

are really pushing for me to socialize..
i had an old friend coming to visit me (to please)
i call her this morning and cancelled...and continued to cry all morning...
i feel better though...i didnt(dont)want to be bothered by mindless weather talk...and pretend the tea is "fabulas" knowing all i want is an escape bottle and a pack of smokes...
i feel like the biggest letdown....
..
on the flip side...
i am convincing myself into a new stronger me...
any minute now i will shine.

funky teas aside,
my friend,
life ain't no magic carpet ride.
& you should not pretend in the company
canned "friends" for them, c , therapist or u

artists are often loners but also are know for being bored easily with boring people
c and t aside: maybe j needs to find own “”joy luck club””

If you don't like their tea or them, let them know

Remember to be assertive, not mean though

Use I statements...

J,
I never really thought,
all jokes aside,
could your "escape bottle" be what
makes worlds collide???

~t

and j, you do shine. maybe others don't have the right lighting...

ooo...and this does not count as socializing????:)

J,

You shine to me. It is very hard to reunite with "old firends" without the pressure of trying to act as the person you were when you were friends. I believe that is a tough way to get back into the social scene. I can understand C and pdoc wanting you to get out of isolating yourself, but you have to do it on your terms. Maybe you could think of another alternative such as taking an art class once a week or a crafting class. Something with no pressure but is enjoyable.

You are doing fine, my friend. Hang in there you are growing and becoming stronger all the time. I miss you, Boo.

LOVE

thankyou tony...
the bottle helps make people interesting..
or perhaps it sedates me enough to be a commoner?
one minute i am so small..
one minute i am larger than this ole life...and the dullness of it all...
mabe i should leave the house.
or get an agent to represent my paintings..
or sell the kids to the gypies and join the circus..
?

have you thought of starting a scrapbooking club..
(I kid and how... They have them where I live.
The town where scrapbook is a verb.
My friend was a painter, brilliantly deliciously mad (truly no pretense) and she had a hard time finding community in the city. In a smaller town, even I, who am right on the fence no artist passion, but no scrapbooker have a hellish lonely time I can't imagine being in your position.
I'm told always to 'socialize' well if the company is in my headspace I don't have to be told.
It reminds me of my parents saying "theres a girl your age down the street why don't you go play"
I don't think you should worry, when you meet someone you want for tea you'll know, its like a dog meeting another dog.

wow I was very bold^^^^ sorry. (nm)

Jyl my dear, Tony is right.
We artists have a different drummer,
A different star to follow,
And different ways.

Don't worry about the standards that other people would have you follow.
They mean well,
It works for most,
But not us.

Don't worry about "them". As Mother Theresa said, it was never between you and them anyway. It's between you and God.
