Hmmm, I may be being over-literal here. But the answer to why is usually because.
Because you're the only you around. Because you matter to your kids. Because you matter to your friends (including us).
Because of the good you do, and because of the good you can do in the future. That's the big because in my world scheme. And you do do good JYL. You do it here, and I'll bet you do it elsewhere.

What Dinah said and also, as an artist, you know one other answer to that question. Even if you're not painting now (I stopped painting for almost 3 years), you have the potential and ability to create something beautiful where there was nothing before. What would life be like for everyone without the creative souls in our midst? Like living in a coal mine if you ask me.

I selfishly see you as my guru of simplicity. My reminder that there art resides in words carefully chosen.
I think questioning the meaning of all this is part of the meaning of all this. If we didn't question it, we might become complacent. The fact that you question it all might inspire someone else to question it all as well.
You see, my answer was inspired by something you mentioned earlier:
could it be possible,we feel things "they" do not anymore?
how come we are so passionate???while others are so dead...yet we are the ones that feel alienated.
i will never believe i am the "ill" one...That's why you matter so much. You are a muse, or as Merriam Webster defines the word "A guiding genius."
You might not see that in the mirror tonight. Mirrors on the wall don't pick up on that stuff.
But, your words here reflect your soul. So, tonight you'll just have to take everyone else's word for it. You matter beyond words.
