That's the kind of photography I would buy. The scarier looking the better. Amusement parks are my favorite.

How was your trip?

Thats Untitled 4 from Diane Arbus's untitled book which was done during halloween at a institution mainly for the mentaly deficient, if that is an appropriate term... eerie to say the least...

teary and wierd, i didnt get a chance to see someone there i wanted to due to some roadblocks in communications caused by various acts of force majour... no ones fault, just the way it worked.

if you call looking out the window of the plane at the sea below and imagining falling down to it fun, i suppose it was... the highlight of my trip was a cute girl in a pub buying me drinks all night... lets never overlook the silver lining.

Hey, if a cute girl bought me drinks all night, I'd like it too! But I can't believe that's the highlight of your trip. Did you see any music live? Hear any poetry readings? Anything fun?

We went to Ireland a million years ago, and someone handed us a poetry book by Paul Durcan before we left. In the middle of our trip, we were in a little town during its arts festival. I think we missed U2 by a hair, but it so happened that Paul Durcan was reading, so we went. Afterward, we met up with these funky teenagers who played acoustic guitar in a little club, and we hung out and sang songs in their loft until the wee hours. It is a fond memory, even though I can no longer hold my own into the long hours (like 11), so the wee hours don't exist for me anymore.

I have some Diane Arbus books. I could have guessed it was her. She frightens me, too.

I was only there for a few days, (two to be exact) so I didnt get much time to do anything...

Other times I've been there I nearly went to the Redding festival to see the Strokes, but that got tanked by too much work...

One time I went the night I arrived Roxy Music were playing at a big gig, but I was too beat to muster up the strength to go (and find tickets)...

their festivals are unbelievable with all THEE bands that are hot and multiple stages, Id love to go to one of those... another day.

I like hearing you say another day.....do it again » kid a

Hot multiple stages. Sounds good to me. I wish you weren't on such a whirlwind biz trip over there this past time.......perhaps begin planning for an extended stay there next time?
