Dear Tabitha,

I'm so sorry that you have recently experienced the feeling of not being yourself with your therapist being away on vacation, and doubts about whether you fit within site guidelines anymore. It's no wonder you are feeling this way; I'd certainly feel the same way under those circumstances. I wonder though, if you have discussed with your pdoc/therapist the possibility of never going on vacation again? I once tried chaining mine to her chair and it really helped me a lot. Please keep us posted on how things turn out.

Sincerely,

M

p.s. I hope that my reply to your negative skewing post was not non-supportive

How can you be civil to others if you aren't civil to yourself.
I, too, an sorry your therapist is out of town and know the pain you must be feeling. (And the joy your therapist must feel.) I could 'feel' the self-loathing coming from your words and into my heart. (vomit)
If you need to talk, there's no way to contact me so hopefully someone can help you. Remember, you civil in other's what you civil in yourself.?

Thanks. I wished I'd actually done this to a few of them. Man I've had some bad shrinks.

But I meant the chaining to the chair, primarily to prevent the vacation problem.

I really like that idea myself, Medusa.

I don't think I'll mention it to my therapist though. He might not realize I'm joking.

Tabbi,

This is for guys, huh? This sounds like what my wife used to train me to say. You know, there ought to be a class or something for boys to teach them all these things when they are 14 so they don't get into trouble when they're 21+.

(a very big) :-)
