What happened to sar?

Posted by PhoenixGirl on June 21, 2002, at 23:31:38

I haven't been on the board for awhile, but I came across some posts about sar and suicide. What did she do? I used to email back and forth with her a lot, but then I kind of withdrew I guess and our correspondence stopped. If she actually is dead....I feel so guilty, maybe if I had kept up our correspondence I could have given her support....

Please don't feel guilty...there's nothing anyone could have done. Phil and trouble had all the info there for awhile..try the archives. Yes, she is gone, but there were a lot of posts as a tribute to her and she will not be forgotten.
Take care,
sarah

I hope that works.... I haven't done that before. I'm fairly new here and I asked what happened to her also. This was the link they posted. I hope it works.

I saw no mention in the thread of how she committed suicide. It still seems like there's not enough direct proof that sar has died. People are basically anonymous on this board, so how can we just trust what someone says?

Yes, well... sad to say it but she is gone... when it was first posted, a lot of effort was taken to proove this, because you want proof that this horible thing has happened... I spoke to the police, to her boss at work, to her sister... its true, its true, its true...

what more can i say... its true...

PhoenixGirl,

Use the search function and you can find all the information you need regarding details....if that is what you are looking for.

This is still a very painful subject for many here so please tread with care.

Heh, PhoenixGirl.

I'm sure you meant no harm with your last post, but as alii said, please tread with care. for those of us who were there and who are still trying to cope with this loss, your comments seem a tad brash.

you weren't there during all the chats, the poems, the hurt.

proof? we have one poster who knew her very, very well, kid_a, who has answered you. and another poster who went to the funeral. i have done some of my own research. and you know what? there was just a loss somehow, some sort of spiritual "oomph" that left not only this board, but also this earth. if no one had posted about her death, that alone would have been proof enough.

now, this Is a good thread to show why Dr. Bob needed to at least keep a post re: sar's death up on social at all times, i.e. not archive it, and I'm going to throw it to his attention.

so, thanks for that.

Trouble,

Why post if it can't be helpful? The subject is painful enough. If you're feeling sensitive about Sar's death, perhaps you could just say nothing. Or say something about yourself, maybe, not put another person down because she wasn't reading the Boards. It isn't a crime...
