Louis Armstrong

I see trees of green, red roses too
I see them bloom for me and you
And I think to myself what a wonderful world.

I see skies of blue and clouds of white
The bright blessed day, the dark sacred night
And I think to myself what a wonderful world.

The colors of the rainbow so pretty in the sky
Are also on the faces of people going by
I see friends shaking hands saying how do you do
They're really saying I love you.

I hear babies crying, I watch them grow
They'll learn much more than I'll never know
And I think to myself what a wonderful world
Yes I think to myself what a wonderful world.

Phil, I know that song as sung by Israel Kamakawiwo'ole. I thought I hated Hawaiian music as all I'd ever been exposed to was tripe by the likes of Don Ho, etc. But when Napster was is full swing & I was sharing our huge mp3 collection, I was introduced to Hawaiian by another Napster user in Hawaii.

Israel Kamakawiwo'ole was an amazing singer & most of the songs were traditional Hawaiian sungs sung in Hawaiian. But he did this one too & when I listen to it, I can feel the tension flow from my muscles. Not every one's taste but I love it.

I agree, IsoM, and have several of Bruddah IZ's CD's. Another favorite of mine is his version of "Somwhere Over The Rainbow", which I was surprised and delighted to hear being used on a national TV commercial several months ago. Such a sweet sound!

Mmm, maybe we can trade mp3s :-) (nm) » SusanG

I love this song! Nothing beats the peace it inspires except for maybe "Imagine" or "Sittin on the Dock of the Bay"

Classics make the world go 'round . . .
