Favorite Book Titles (not books)

Posted by mair on February 6, 2002, at 7:24:58

This is a variant of the favorite words thread. My vote right now is for She's Come Undone because it perfectly describes my current state.

Any others?

I've always liked that title, too, tho haven't read the book (have read short stories by Achebe, but never that book).
The title Things Fall Apart comes into mind frequently for me, cuz it often feels apt in describing my life!

Julian Jaynes' The Origin of Consciousness in the Breakdown of the Bicameral Mind.

Not only is this a fabulously esoteric sounding title (nb that it wouldn't even fit in the subject line!), it's also an incredible book. I have yet to read up on its reception, but his theories are fascinating.

My favorite book title is The Man With No Endorphins by James Gorman. I am the woman with no endorphins, so that's why that title appealed to me.
