I will answer as briefly as I can. I am speaking of the Federal Govenment and its policies. True, in the private sector, they can boot you if you smell funny. I have had to terminate employees that provided false information on their job applications. It was not MY decision, but I was their supervisor, and had to do the deed (there is no pleasure in that). I thought I was showing both sides of the coin by presenting the ADA info. True, in many scenarios, don't ask don't tell is fine, just not in the Federal Government. Trust me on this one, I've been doing it for 20 years. Sure, take the test, fail it, then have to explain why...BUT you will never GET that chance, they will just "non-select" you. Spin the cyclinder, watch for the bullet.
