So do you think we will get a gold star?

Posted by akc on August 15, 2001, at 15:06:12

When Dr. Bob gets back, that is? I think we have been very well behaved, if I may say so. Now, by saying that I probably will have just jinxed us or something, and WWWIII will break out. But there have been a lot of cool threads on this board this past week -- lots of support, sharing of information, and just having fun.

AKC

I am ***very*** offended by what you have written.

I just tried something here at home -- when I posted at home, I had entered AKC originally, but when I had posted at work, I had entered akc originally. But I am attempting with this post to switch it to akc at home, so now all my posts should be consistent, I hope. I had not even noticed this until today.

AKC aka akc

akc or AKC

Maybe sometimes you feel like "AKC" (Big Voice), and sometimes you feel like "akc" (Leetle Voice).

I'm just babbling...

Why did any of us choose our screen names? I think that's an interesting topic to explore. Anyone feel like sharing the origins of their Babble Land persona? Kingfish? Kazoo?

I chose my nick because it's what my dad called me, and it makes me feel closer to him.

I didn't really think about my name, I just filled in the form, so my name really is Susan C..., My initials are sic, which I have never wanted to have engraved on sheets or towels, (error in the original) and now if I went by my spouses name (he was one of those 'liberated men' when we got married and didn't take my last name.(smirk) .. My initials would be sicl cycle...that is like my mood...name and form...but I am really enjoying this mighty mouse business,

BTW akc, I grew up with dachshunds. They have a special place in my memory, especially the dragging me on the end of leashes and furiously digging for moles. Standard sized, One was named ozzie, his brother, I cant remember... This is going to bug me for a while..., then Kristina Gretchen's Daughter...tina for short. The two bros were given away for barking and a couple years later, we got Tina,a miniture. Unfortunately, she was runover on a cold dark MN winter's night.

I just cant remember ozzie's brothers name, I liked ozzie best. Tina was precious.

I have used PAXVOX as my screen name and email name for about 4 years, so I saw no reason to create an alias for this post. I will tell whoever has a need to know who I am if they ask me to. Pax and vox is Latin for peace and voice, so I combine them as PAXVOX to loosely mean "voice of peace". Go figure.

:)
