Anxious About My T--Cancer Surgery on Dec. 15th

Posted by sassyfrancesca on December 10, 2008, at 9:19:04

It's the weirdest thing....last night my t was a little withdrawn/different (as he put it, "self-protective.").......I am super sensitive, and pick up people's vibes quickly; I sensed something not right with him.

I mean, he's playing with the candle, and asking me how many reindeer Santa had!

He is having surgery on his eye (cancer), and may have to have plastic surgery, depending on how much tissue they remove...and wear an eye-patch of course.

he says he is "pissed-off" at having to do this, because he has always been in perfect health.

It is weird (can't remember the last time I felt like this)......i feel anxiety/worry and concern. I know I won't feel any better until I see him again. I plan to call him in a few days just to let him Know I am thinking and praying for him.

Hate feeling like this, but i know nothing will make it go away; just have to ride it out.

Needed to talk about this.

love and hugs, Sassy

Sassy if not melanoma he should be just fine. Thankfully it's not an internal organ. But I wouldn't wish it on anyone and understand your distress. Love Phillipa

((Phillipa)): Thank you. I am not sure, but a guessing....melanoma would be in the skin under or around the eye?

He said he might need plastic surgery depending on how deep they had to go....he didn't say it was a melanoma, but I guess I thought it might be.

I read somewhere on-line that when they operate there is a real danger of the cells spreading.

Geesh.....I am going to feel like this until I see him again.

Hugs, Sassy

Sassy if you google melanoma and I have you can see pics of what it looks like. Usually irregular borders, bigger than eraser on pencil, colors differ not just brown sometimes purple reds mixed in with it. I would imagine he's very upset about his eyesight also. Let me know what you think after looking. Love Phillipa

(((Phillipa))): I don't see anything near or under his eye, but then I haven't gotten close to see.

Thanks, sweetie!

I hope everything goes alright. I would certainly feel scared if I found out my T was having surgery, too. I'm sure he appreciates your concern!

So it's not large that's good or discolored. Love Phillipa
