I miss my T

Posted by myrtledog on August 13, 2008, at 12:45:11

I miss my T so much. It is now nearly two weeks since we finished. I so badly want to write or text or ring her and can't do any of those. But the temptation is so there. I have a film of her talking which sometimes helps. I have so many things of hers. I just need contact - I need to make contact, and this is worse than a death because she IS still there but I can't get to her. I wonder what the penalty would be for sending a letter, for ringing to hear her voice. Ouch Ouch Ouch

Hey, sweetie: Why can't you contact her?

Hugs, Sassy

I am so sorry. Did she say you could email or write her?

No, she didn't. And i forgot to ask. We talked about what would happen if I accidently texted her. That she wouldn't reply, because it wouldn't be fair. (I was in the habit of very very regular texting) I know I could write stuff and send it into cyber space etc but it's contact I'm missing, ultimately.

I'm so sorry, Myrtle. And I'm getting ready to be right there with you. My T is on leave for 6-8 weeks after tomorrow's session and will be retiring at the end of 2009. I can't imagine how I'll cope with any of it, although obviously I'm going to try.

Did you two talk about any options for keeping in touch? My T has already agreed that we will stay in phone touch and occasionally have lunch after she retires. It won't be the same, but at least it's something.

I wish I could make this better for both of us. I'm sorry it hurts so much.
