I dropped off the letter today

Posted by Happyflower on June 13, 2008, at 18:55:37

I read it several times over the past few days, making sure it was what I wanted to really say. So before my workout at the health club, I walked to his office building, went up in the elevator to his floor. His secretary remembered me, I handed her the letter and she put in his his mailbox. I felt weird being there, butterflies in my stomach. I realized that I like my new T's office better, it is in an old historical house, my old T was in a high rise, not as homey.

Now the waiting begins. Will he respond? I express myself more through writing, so I was happy to use this form to talk to him. Now I just need to keep myself busy.

LOL He returns officially on Monday, but I know that when he comes back for vacation, he comes into the office the day before to go through this mail and messages. It will probably be hard to get an appointment if he is just getting back from vacation. Thanks Ladybug, I will let you know when I hear something.

I don't know if it is brave or just doing what I need to do to heal. It seems like I do take an active roll in my recovery, well that is what my T says.

I don't know what this is about, but if the guy was a creep and you told him so in your letter, good for you.

Unfortunately, the fact that he may be a creep and that he has already waved goodbye to your car payment on his Lexus means that he ain't gonna respond.

From his smarmy, self-indulgent view, (I'm assuming here that he is smarmy and self-indulgent), the battle with you is over. He'll think, "What's the point?" And in a perverse way, he will be right.

So I hope that you can find just delivering the note sufficiently satisfying. So forget about him and just move smartly on with the rest of your life.

Good Luck.
