Do you visualize?

Posted by DisTraught on May 3, 2007, at 8:17:53

Hi,
I was in the waiting room at my T's office. As I sat there I suddenly saw in my mind's eye how I was walking down the corridor to his room. I opened the door and there was no furniture, and instead of a floor there was water, like a lake, and the surface was as smooth as a mirror. I leapt in and splashed water all over the place, splashing it onto the walls so they were dripping. Then I simply got up, opened the door, looked back at the once again smooth surface, closed the door and left.
Do you experience visions like that in the middle of the day? I often do:§)

I can create visuals, but they don't usu just pop up that I am aware of. Sounds kinda cool. Maybe your a very creative person or something?

I often used to daydream, but I controlled the daydreams, they weren't my subconscious speaking.

Sounds like a very cool thing to discuss with your therapist. Mine used to like doing that sort of thing, but somewhere along the line he quit. I think it would be an interesting image to explore.
