Wanting to remove ourselves from our present state is normal (I think, what do I know?). There are plenty of folks who have a crummy day and have a drink or whatever to soften it.

I don't drink, either. That "softening" effect was more of a "thud" as my head would hit the cushion on the sofa...

BTW I loaded my thrift store bags into my car for delivery tomorrow sometime. It helped to break the piles of clothes down into stuff I could actually carry!

Be kind to your inside kids, Muffy. As troubling as they might be to you, they are still part of you.
