Wanna hear ironic?

Posted by Dinah on April 25, 2006, at 14:15:06

T1 is coming home.

I just got a letter from T3. She's leaving the city.

Everyone's leaving the city.

Snort, sniggle, snicker, ha.

Yeah. See above post about kicking the rock.

I guess it's just as well that I didn't like T3. It would have sucked to get attached to someone else who's leaving.

The whole damned city is like that.

But then we might move too. Because the whole damned city is pretty sucky right now.

Sound like things are going your way....at least I hope they are. Glad T1 is moving back, hope you can stay too. It would be crushing if you'd been attached to T3, esp. after what you've been through with T1.

There's just nothing you can count on anymore. Nothing at all. I can't blame people. It's almost hurricane season again, and so many homes are still not even gutted, much less repaired. The levees are supposedly being built to pre-Katrina standards, which means given the same sort of hurricane hitting we'll get the same results.

I don't blame all the doctors and therapists for moving. They can so they do. Plus the universities where so many of the best worked are doing massive layoffs of even tenured personnel.

I'll miss it here tho. I know this place gets a lot of bad press, but it really is a much more tolerant and accepting place than it gets credit for.

I'm not going to do therapy again when we move. I'm just not going to. What's the point. Getting your heart professionally broken. That about sums it up.

I'm sorry that T3 is moving. I always thought that she was a good match for you (though the therapy would have been tumultuous (sp?)).

I do worry about your safety living where you live.
