Hi Muffled,
My sister called me a Grinch today. I know she copes with childhood issues with denial, but really a happy family at the holidays ain't gonna happen. Not now, not ever.
Dr. Clueless is on holiday until after Christmas, so there goes the Xanax idea. Thank you to whoever first vinted Chardonnay. Though I might do eggnog and rum just to be festive.
I can't wait for the new year only because then Christmas is over. I hate all holidays that force me to make nice nice to a brother that I absolutely cannot forgive. And a mother who still babies him at age 53.
Argh. Grit your teeth and start counting the days until December 26.

I wish I could send you some of my love for Christmas. It was really one of the few times of year my dad would be pleasant and make an effort not to be angry.

Sounds like we could form our own little "Bah Humbug" club. Hope each of you can find a little piece of happiness just for you. I'll be thinking of you as I bite the tines off my fork at Christmas dinner.

I haven't been on Babble for a few days and really can't be on for a while.
But I hear what a hard time you're going through and I wanted to send you all my hugs and care.
Please keep posting Muffled. Send babblemails if it's hard to be on here.
We've never done Christmas in my family so I don't really hate it. Just don't really get it. You want to come to the movies with me? That's what I usually do on Christmas.
Bring your kids (both the inside and outside ones). I'll bring mine. That should create quite a ruckus. What do you all want to see?
