I'm okay. The board has sure been active. Maybe it's the stress of the Holidays. Too many things to do and not enough energy or time or desire to get them done.

We played board games tonight with the kids. It was nice to interact in a simple board game.

I'm doing ok, I've just been soooo busy with my work and trying to get my chirstmas shopping done etc.
I don't find myself posting too much as I worry someone will think I'm off the wall or something dumb. Sorry, I do read a lot of posts here.

I'm also OK. Lurking more than posting, especially on this board. I don't say much here when my therapy is just going along without much drama.

I'm not too bad. I did get a bad paper cut today. :-( And this whole thing above did rather upset my equilibrium, which usually is undisturbed by events on PB.

And I'm not in therapy right now so I don't really have intelligent things to say about other people's therapy.

Ugh, I think Christmas kind of raises everyone's stress level just a tad.

It feels like some here are saying things to get reactions, then crying foul when others react.

I think we are a group striving to be healthier, trying to find a way to get there through therapy and self examination. I believe that most of us come here to share experience and ask others to do the same so that we might understand better the twists and turns our lives take while we are trying to figure out the things that make our lives so hard. We asks for reality checks, for another point of view, for comfort, criticism, and understanding, among other things.

These reaction-seeking grenades are unkindnesses.

When I am struggling with things I know would throw a wrench into things here, I have the respect for this community to keep those things to myself. I care for you all that much.

No one is kinder, more respectful, more understanding, more loving than babblers.

Everything will be ok. But I think I'll also take a break until things cool off a little.

Sad

In reply to Everyone ok?, posted by Dinah on December 13, 2005, at 20:58:18

I’m sad because I really like both Orchid and Happyflower.

I’m really sorry this happened.

I know that Happyflower has been really blindsided by the burn and the abuse memories it triggered, especially since her husband isn’t there for her emotionally, and she is probably feeling very vulnerable, unsafe and angry right now. (((((Happyflower)))))

I also know that Orchid has had many stresses recently with moving continents and dealing with her father’s renewed inappropriate behaviour and living with family and in-laws, and she is probably feeling hurt and confused right now. (((((Orchid)))))

I always wish that people I like would like each other. And sometimes there are differences of perspective or culture or ideology that make it difficult.

So mostly I’m very sorry that Happyflower and Orchid and others are feeling unsafe here at the moment and I wish I could make everything all better.

If hugs would help, here they are:

Things are tense and very busy here on Babble.

But I think that people are genuinely trying to be honest. Like therapy, Babble is a test tube where we can try things out and see what happens. Sometimes what we say won't work really well, and hopefully we will learn from that. And, in that sense, I think that some of what is going on here is necessary for the people involved. I try to observe these things rather than get too personally involved. Sometimes I even succeed.

I think that there are a number of difficult issues that are playing out on the board right now. Any one, by itself, wouldn't be so overwhelming, but there are a bunch going on all at the same time.

It seems to me that it is adaptive, when things get to be a bit much, to step back a little. To let the situation calm down, and to let our own reactions to the situation calm down.

I wish peace to those who are in pain. I wish calm for the rest of us. Find a comforting hug, and a bowl of ice cream (not necessarily at the same time).

Better than yesterday. For some reason, yesterday was a poopy day. Which really bugs me considering I was feeling really good before that. Hopefully it's just an anomaly.

A little pushed for time. I'm lurking more than posting. I'm having some troubles with my meds, and when I feel this way (kinda spaced out I guess... I don'tknow how to discribe it), it's hard to be sensitive to others. So I'm here, supporting you all in a queit way.

Yes, okay. I don't do the holiday thing so while everyone around me has been running around like crazy I've had some down time to do some real thinking about my life and where it's headed and that's been a very good thing. Exhausting but good.

I also find myself thinking about Babble a lot.

Maybe I will dare to post on it and see where it goes.

I'm sorry it's been tense here, but please don't jump to conclusions about others or post anything that could lead them to feel accused.

Follow-ups regarding civility should be redirected to Psycho-Babble Administration. They, as well as replies to the above post, should of course themselves be civil.

Thanks,

Bob

This place, and all of you mean so very much to me, and it hurts to see so many of you hurting. I'm sorry I'm here so little these days and don't get to read or respond to so many posts I'd like to. You're all in my thoughts and my heart.

I'm glad for those of you who are busy and happy! Board games (the real kind) sound like so much fun.

I hope everyone else is able to feel better soon.

On Risperdal, I feel a bit out of touch with feelings, and I really hadn't realized how much everyone was affected by everything. :(

I'm not sure I like that about Risperdal. I think it makes my rational side more prominent, and I've never liked that part of me as much. At best it feels like I'm an observer. And that's at best.

I was unable to articulate myself well during these past couple of days. I had wanted to contribute and try to <soothe> <show compassion> but everything happened too swiftly for me. I was too detached to respond. Started many posts and then changed my mind... you know how it is. Not trusting myself to be wise enough, or polite enough, or just enough enough.

And now I feel I've lost the opportunity, or that it would be doing an unkind thing to a departed horse (thanks GG) to comment.
