just griping

i still haven't quit, but i'm not happy either. i want to be able to call her when i'm freaking out. she is the type that definately does not want to be bothered outside of session. i can't get through several more days and i need to talk to her now! i miss my old therapist. i think she cared a whole lot more :(

{{{{{big hug}}}}} for you sweetie.

Have you ever discussed with your T how she can help you in-between sessions, if at all? Does she know you are having this hard a time between sessions? Could this be something you could discuss with her next time you see her?

I'm sorry I dont have any constructive advice right now.....I know how hard this can be. I hope you feel better soon.

SV

Thanks sv for replying, especially since you are going through the loss of your own therapist.
today in therapy was awful. as usual, i didn't really know what to say b/c i dont' trust her yet. she was obviously frustrated by my constant replies of "i dont' know" to any question she asked me. i guess it's my nervous answer. anyways, she got mad and told me to "cut the crap" in a really loud, mean voice.
about an hour or two after session, i left a voicemail saying that i quit therapy. so i guess its over. i don't know what i think, but maybe i've cut the crap?! grr :(

oh (((((((((((Lonelygal)))))))))))

I can imagine how much that hurts. Actually, I CAN imagine....my T said something VERY similar (even used the same word) a while back. I know they must get frustrated when we can't talk to them, but, I honestly believe (in my T's case at least) she thought I was doing it on purpose. I swear I wasn't.

I wish I knew what to say to make it better for you. I'm sorry you had to deal with this. :(

Email me if you need anything, k?

I don't know your situation very well, but I was shocked that a T would say that. It sounds extremely insensitive. Your last comment was funny but true (referring to cutting the crap).
I hope you are doing okay. How long were you in therapy with her? And you mentioned missing your previous T. What was the reason for leaving that?

I'll put one of my addresses here (I use it for mainly junk stuff, so if someone wants to steal it and use it for spam, I dont really care), then once I hear from you I'll give you my main email address:

shrinkingviolet31@hotmail.com

Hope to hear from you. Thanks again.
