with my husband's gun. He came into our house while I was gone with Mom and DH was working. He took my husband's 357 magnum, loaded it and went into the woods to shoot himself, fired one round then couldn't do it to himself. He came into the house and I got the gun away from him and unloaded it. My therapist's office says I should
a) take him to ER if he'll go, or
b) call the police.He's been depressed and having major panic attacks and I've been trying to get him to go see a doc but he refuses.
DH is on his way home now from work.
Please help me. What should I do???

I know it's hard, but you shouldn't have to carry this burden on your own. Get him the help he needs.

I'd take him to ER. He needs help. Also, he is bringing you into it by coming to your house. I believe you need to act, and quickly.

On top of what everybody's said, make sure *you* go in for some kind of crisis or victim counselling ASAP.

Got Dad to go to Urgent Care instead of ER. The doc gave him Paxil and Xanax. Now he's got to choose another doc within 10 days for maintenance. Thank God this turned out okay for today. I have enough on my plate at the moment with my own problems and 3 young children to care for while I try keeping MY sh*t together. I *really* appreciate all your responses!
