Is this just Paranoia?

Posted by shadows721 on June 27, 2004, at 13:23:39

If you read my post about the psych eval, you will truly understand this one. I revealed my feelings of feeling that people were digging through my personal files and even having nightmares about it to this work comp hired psychiatrist. I told him that I don't trust people in this system and was sick of all this.

Anyway, I get a call from a doctor from a university this a.m. He calls for the name of one of my alters (which is in my records) with my maiden name. I have never seen this doctor. There are no people with this name in my part of the country. My maiden name is dying out. I asked him again, "Who are you?" He said, "Oh, I must have the wrong phone number."

I called his number back from my caller ID and it's a home number. I check for him at the the university website. He is into Brain Research. I check with all of my family to see if any of their children have been to this university. They all said, "No." My family is the only family in this state with my maiden name. What is really going on here? I have been married for 14 years. No one calls me by my maiden name. Is this paranoia, but I think my records have been dumped into another's hands again. It's all in my records that I do not like this investigation into my abuse history, so was this to try to set me off to look crazy? What's your thoughts?

Wow, I agree with antigua, trust your insticts, but I can also see how that might be confusing right now. That's a really odd call.

Perhaps you can call the university back and speak with the caller's department chair. If he indeed has your records, especially at his home, I would think they might be interested in finding out how he got them.

good luck, dear. Wow, you've had a lot on your plate lately. Please take extra gentle care.

I called my T and my T called the doc. The doc said there was a lady with my name working at the university. Oh, my>>>>>> I need a vacation from life right now. Geesh!!! How much of a coincidence is that? I checked the university and sure enough I saw her name. She is an Admin. Secretary.

Glad you got it figured out. :) (nm) » shadows721
