My OCD isn't all bad

Posted by Dinah on April 1, 2003, at 8:57:19

Which is why I missed it when Luvox completely took it away.

I call my OCD "Ruth", which is just one of my techniques for making it less threatening. And Ruthie has her uses. Yesterday's nasty OCD obsessive loop had a grain of truth at it's core (greatly exaggerated by the stress of working at the office for a few days). And because the obsessions eventually made me aware of a mistake on my part, I can take care of that today.

Now, if I can just train Ruthie to tell me the grain of truth without the hyperbole. :)

reminds me of the SATC episode where Charlotte names her vagina 'Rebecca' so she has a non-threating language for it.

How bout Aunt Ruth.. OCD seems like it needs a more stern title. Or Nurse Ruth.

But I'm glad to hear the episode abated, and left you with something useful.

Sex and the City

A not-so-secret pleasure that Tabitha and I share.
