..that when our young men and women are at war and their very lives are on the line--most of the time--their numbers, position, strategies and even vulnerabilities are broadcasted 24 hours a day in the media for all to see. BUT--banks spending our kids' and grandkids' tax revenues?http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20081222/ap_on_go_ca_st_pe/meltdown_secrets

Is that where it's coming from?

There has been a lot of money spent worldwide on this.

My father was always on about the gold standard, and how they were just printing money.... (a little quaint these days??)

What about Milton Friedman, monetarism, the money supply and????? aaaaaaarrrgh I need an education.

If that IS where it's coming from they will be interested to know.
If the science is right, future generations won't be thanking us.

But then again, or to make it worse, what if the sustainable human population of the earth is 2B?

I don't think anybody is printing money. They are just hoarding it. People who have more money in their bank accounts then some small countries GDP. I think Milton was wrong. John Kenneth Galbraith was the *great* man, and nobody listened, so here we are. Sad note today to...was one of Madoff's investors...put in like 1.5 billion bucks..lost it all and took his life. Maybe we should just burn it all...burn ALL of the money, and just everybody restart out equal...I dunno.

One of the first things done in the Bolshevik Revolution was the destruction of all the title deeds.

Ya, but that certainly is not my intentioned way to go. Marx was quite accurate in his philosophy and theory, (*true* Socialism has never been practiced) but greed (geezz...there is a new word!) took theory and grotesquely twisted it into a fascist dictatorship. One of my old poli sci prof's had this theory that the left-right spectrum bent into a circle, and in extreme forms met at opposite ends. I can't remember a damn thing he taught except that..lol...but I think it is quite true.
