lots of parents are nuts!

I ran a daycare for several years and saw a lot of crazy parents but that doesn't mean they are sexual abusers.

Peanut gallery here: I think the guy is guilty. Grown men do not sleep with young boys, for any reason. Hopefully, he will not engage in anymore sleepover parties. He should be scared. And any parent letting their child go to his house is truly ridulous.

It's okay to let your own kids in bed with you to play and watch TV or movies, but i agree the parents that let their kids go were possibly motivated by his "famous" image, or they hoped to gain from their children being "friendly" with MJ. Fondly, Phillipa

I completely agree with everything you've said.
Especially about the crazy parents!
I think the *bed* issue was a bit overblown as far as intimating sexual abuse. Abuse is going to happen anywhere it doesn't need a bed. It was bad bad judgement,it was not OKAY.. I'm not saying that, but the fact that he was so open about it makes me think it was probably just as you said, a big slumber party.
I know one of the accusers the one with cancer, had previously been trying to get money from Jay Leno. I think that was in Mcleans, not the *STAR* anyway, it was legitimate news.
I guess I share this bias to an extent, but I don't think if it was a woman and a bunch of little girls having a slumber party there would be the same uproar about it.

I had a prof who specialized in treating guys with pedophelia. She said that they fell into 2 categories. 1) guys who were victims themselves at some point -- so anger, sex, love and children got all mixed up for them, and 2) guys who are emotionally still children and they relate to kids as peers. So, they are attracted to their child peers. Who does that sound like??

disgusting, reprehensible, but.. unfortunately it's not that uncommon among un-famous adult men and boys.

Any parent who puts their child in the position in which these children were put should be the subject of some serious intervention.

OMG, he's been found not guilty. That's awesome! I love his music :-) Does this mean people will be playing MJ in bars again? I hope so. Even if he was found guilty, I wouldn't stop listening to his music - I couldn't resist. I like Thriller, Bad, Off the Wall.....

Who knows? All we know is that the prosecution wasn't able to prove to these particular jurors that he was guilty beyond reasonable doubt.

At any rate, right after the verdict came in, I went for a walk with my Walkman. Michael Jackson's songs were all over the airwaves for the first time in ages.

Well, I'm not sure about his guilt or innocence. But I AM sure we're in for a plethora of "made for TV" movies, books by sh***y authors trying to do exposes and tell-alls a la Monica Cigar Lewinsky, and possibly more lawsuits in civil court. He's never going away!!!

Hehehe, me too! It gets me all excited :-) In fact, I think I'll listen to Billie Jean right now, I've got my CD player next to the computer. Ooooh, I just put it on and turned the bass up.

My opinion? Mike is culprit just like OJ Simpson is. And i think it is not finished. He will have some civil pursuits. Sneddon has not been very wise in this process.

Mike is a nature's freak. While i don't think he is a child molester, i think he is certainly a pedophil. Time will tell. Voilą...
