Should i follow ambition or Christ

Posted by mmcconathy on March 11, 2005, at 22:20:23

I have a feeling i can conquer my quest to what i want to have in life, but at the same time i want to follow Christ, God, since he is the supreme.

I sit and think about if i can make my ambition his desire, i want to do something.

At the same time i must compromise with him.

Chirst i belive wants us to be humble, not proud, this conflicts with ambition, did david have ambition? are times diffrent now?

God has called me, it is not in ministry, that is not in me, i feel i want to lead in the world, i want power, but this leads to greed. I do not want against what the Lord wants.

I am unsure of myself, but i have ambition to drive, this is very rocky.

I feel if i ask god for a destiny i will be obligated and destroy ambition and drive.

This is a very confusing time right now.

Would following your ambition lead to success in life? Will your ambition take you closer to or farther away from God? If we put God first, all other things should fall into place. God delights to bless those who obey and honor him. If there is nothing amiss in your ambition, or if you can obey the gospel while pursuing your ambition, I'd say it is good, and you should give it your all. God cares about all aspects of your life, not just the spiritual.
