CES-VS Medication Demon to drug...

Posted by OhGracie on July 21, 2013, at 22:51:37

Has anyone tried CES? Must say the adds caught my attention.. I'm trying to pick apart sleep disorder- Apnea, PTSD, BPII, epilepsy- The need for sleep is so profound but don't want to go nutz trying to balance a zillion meds- I have anxiety and can't take wellbutrin seizures... ativan makes apnea worse etc...the simpler I can keep it it the better. I saw the Wallace Fisher thing but $700 for snake oil? What you guys think???

I bought a Sota Bio Tuner about ten years ago. They cost $225. It worked pretty well for a few months, but then I think my brain became habituated to it. Habituation seems to be a big problem with CES, though there are people who've used it for years and are still helped by it. A newer form of CES called Nexalin is supposed to be more effective than other forms of CES, and habituation is not as likely to occur with it. I'm basing this on statements I've read by neurofeedback clinicians who've used other forms of CES, like the Alpha-Stim, and are much more impressed with the results they're getting with Nexalin. It's not sold for personal use. You need to go to a Nexalin provider to try it.

Have you been to a sleep lab to have your sleep apnea diagnosed? I have a friend who was depressed for years, had tried a couple antidepressants, without success, and finally, at his wife's insistence, went to a sleep lab, where he was diagnosed with severe sleep apnea. He started using a CPAP, and his depression disappeared overnight. If you can't tolerate a CPAP, the Pillar Procedure might help.

Thank's for the Apnea tips- Can't do CPAP- bought a jaw positioning system and going slow to not cause TMJ... Then BPII kicks in says No actually you can't sleep at all. My Sister had that done or something like it on her deeeeeply depressed son and is quite impressed in the short term. It's wicked expensive. I'm pretty savvy about neuro-feedback used it on my epilepsy I may spring for the Alpha stim. Hey the DOD and department of corrections can get ripped off too...anything that keeps the number of meds low but ACTUALLY WORKS would be a @#$%^& blessing

I'd be interested in hearing more about this treatment.

I contacted Alpha stim distributor in Oregon. Super nice people- They have a rent to own program, but the FDA needs a Dr/Therapist/Nurse/ signature... Kaiser says no way never heard of it!!!- I'm paying for it- The FDA says it's safe and useful for what I have- Sorry for the language Shee- it now what???
