BIOTINE (Vit.H) 10mg Strange reactions!

Posted by neo on October 12, 2009, at 11:26:56

Hi to all.
I have begun tu use Biotine (once also called Vitamine H)as supplement -even for dermatitis- al the dosage of 10mg/d.
Since first days I felt strange effects that I am not sure that are connected to the use of the Vitamine, but everything makes me think that could be so:
- little dizziness and weakness, sometimes somnolence;
- diarrhea and strange quick movements of the bowel.
I never report these events before i began to use the supplement.
Anyone reported one of these sides using Biotine?
It could be possible?
It's better that I stop it or better reduce the dosage?
Thanks very much in advance for share and counseils.
Bye.
Neo.

Hello Neo,

I am considering taking Biotin for my hair and nails so I am interested in this thread. I hope you find some answers.

Hi Deneb, hi to every!
mmm.... no probably none had suchs side effects.
Anyway few days ago I stopped taking biotine, and the situation returned almost normal.
Probably I'm hypersensitive to the substance.
What a pity! Cause I am sure that biotine is very helpful for skin and hairs.... and others.
I will keep you updated.
See you soon!
Neo.
