Hi,
I might have to go on a statin drug for high cholesterol. I only did a cursory Google search for depression and statins and I came up with both pros and cons. Has anybody had personal experiences with statins and depression? Bad? Good? Thanks, everyone!

I started a statin, and it had no effect on depression, from what I can tell. I was on a high dose and now on a low dose and no difference.

Thanks for your reply. I am seeing my doctor in a week or so to find out what my cholesterol numbers are now and I will more than likely be going on a statin then.
Thanks again
