phenylalanine supplement

This is my first post. You all seem to know a lot about natural supplements that help with depression. I have just started reading about this and would like some guidance if you don't mind helping me out. I have tried some different ssri's and ssnri's. I am on cymbalta now, 60 mgs a day and adderall 20 mgs 3 times a day for the fatigue caused by cymbalta and pain medications. I have found that B supplements help with fatigue somewhat. I am also taking a combination of amino acids in one supplement capsule. But I could tell a real difference when I started taking l-phenylalanine 500 mgs and d-phenylalnine 500 mgs (I found the l-pa and d-pa seperately. I read that d-pa was not available alone, but there it was). anyway, I have also read that I should take a selegiline supplement to help with the others. Could someone suggest how much? and can I increase the l-pa and d-pa.
Also should I look for a combination - DLPA?
I don't know how much I should trust that what I am purchasing is actually what it should be without some verification other than the manufacturer. Any thoughts on that?
Am I on the right track? All of the information out there is very confusing to me. I know nothing about how my body handles all these supplements, but neither do I know how it handles drugs like cymbalta. I just know the supplements are making a difference right now. Thank you for any help you can offer.
One more thing, Is it reasonable to expect that I could substitute these supplements for my medications or will I be stuck with taking both? I guess what I am hoping is that this problem with depression and fatigue is just a dietary supplement deficiency. If life could only be so simple!!!

Try taking acetyl-l-carnitine and L-carnitine together along with alpha lipoic acid. It helps with the fatigue and gives me a moos boost.

walmart has a brand called Rexall and it is good quality and not too $$. The ALC in the most expensive one.

I can really tell a difference with this combo. You might throw in 200mg caffeine 9(no doze=good!)
first thing in the morning.

Take Care,
Kaye

of the Acetyl-L-Carnitine:
L-Carnitine:
alpha-Lipoic Acid:

is the alpha lipoic acid just alpha lipoic acid or is it the "R-lipoic acid" version?
