Which of these Herbs is BRIGHTNING my MOOD?

Posted by neo on December 11, 2006, at 12:55:10

Hi to all,
I'm currently using an Herbal Complex supplement for a blood circulatory disease.
These is the third time in the present year that i use this pills.
Every time i'm on it i feel that something is lifting my mood, in particular i became optimistic (i'm always negative and pessimist), more energized, my mind is better clear and i feel a diffuse sense of well being.
The first time i use them i didn't co-relate the improving in my mood, the second time i thought it was only a coincidece, but now i am almost sure that one (or more?) of the herbs into the Complex is enhancing my mood.
I specific the supplement based on following:

- Sylibum Marianum 150mg, in which Silimarine 45mg;
- Hippocastanum Aesculus 100mg, in which Escine 20mg;
- Oryza Sativa 15mg;
- Ginko Biloba 40mg, in which Ginkgo-flavonoids 10mg;
- Centella Asiatica 40mg, in which Asiaticoside 4mg;
- Rosa Canina 20mg;
- Ruscus Aculeatus 20mg.

The effect appear almost 2h after assumption and fade within 10-12 hrs.
I try to find out what herbal is active in that way, so i could assume only the herbal supplement that helps my mood.

Could you please help me shareing your knowledge or similar experiences?
Thanks in advance for your help! And apologise for my hawful English!
Neo.

Ginko Biloba is known to have anti-depressive effect. Seen some combo products with SJW.

Ginko Biloba has anti-inflammatory as well as vasodilatory effect on the brain.

Something to do with capillary permiability or whatever they call it?
What's Oryza Sativa?
Centella asiatica? Good for social phobia?
