I know this is probably a stupid question, but

can I take L-Tyrosine with Paxil CR? Also, could NADH be safely used to augment Paxil CR (I think the NADH may be problematic since it, apparently, works on serotonin as well as norephedrine and dopamine).

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Yes, you can take tyrosine with paxil. I'm pretty sure NADH is fine too, since I don't believe it works on serotonin, but I don't know much about it.

Tyrosine will convert mostly to norepinephrine and dopamine, not serotonin. Since paxil works mainly on serotonin, the combination is fine. Paxil does actually have a little norepinephrine reuptake inhibition to it though, so too much tyrosine could be too much uncomfortable stimulation. With any supplement, trial and error is the only way to find out if it helps or not and it's tricky to find the right dose. Start low, go slow, is a good safe rule.

Thanks for the feedback and advice, blueberry. Much appreciated. I have used L-Tyrosine before with Celexa, but wasn't sure about combining it with Paxil because I had heard that it is a more potent AD. I will, indeed, start low and go slow :-) I learned that the hard way last summer when I first started experimenting with aminos LOL.
