redbull

What is in redbull that makes it a stimulant?

Obviously there is some caffeine, but I get a different, distinct sort of high when I drink this rather than coffee. It puts my in a good mood; it sometimes makes me quite hypomanic (more noticeable since I started taking Depakote). It reminds of the high I got while taking diet pills (without effedra) for a week.

Thoughts? Facts?

Taurine
Caffine
Garana (Not sure how to spell that...)
I think its the Garana.
Do you get the same feeling off other varieties of energy drink containing Garana???

I'm not keen on Red Bull.
Tastes a little like medicine.
Don't mind Lift Plus but it is a bit sweet...
Like V much better, especially the black one.

No facts but maybe a thought. http://www.google.com/search?q=Glucuronolactone is one explanation. Myself I don't get much of a boost from Red Bull, a cup of coffee works just as well. You can get 50 grams of the stuff here http://www.1fast400.com/p1675_Glucuronolactone_Powder_1Fast400.html for 5 bucks. If it works it's cheaper than buying red bull.
