Hi Larry,
Would you mind tossing out ideas of what you'd do to substitue (or augment) my meds with alternative options? I'm in the bipolar spectrum, with mostly depression. When I have excess energy, it's mostly negative with lots of anxiety, raw nerves, hypersensitivity to noise.
I'm currently on Lamictal, atenolol, selegiline, keppra, and clonazepam (dosage as needed). My doctor also has me taking L-phenylalanine and chromium picolinate. In addition, I take a multivatamin, 30 mg Zn, 200 mcg Se, 200 mg Mg, a B-50 complex, and am starting to add Ca. I feel like a walking pharmacy.
Something is giving me headaches almost every day, and since Keppra is the newest. Ithink it may be Keppra...
Anyway, thanks in advance for your ideas.

Fish oil will probably help dampen the intensity of the hyper symptoms, as will phophatidylserine and lecithin granules. These both take longer to act than the first set (usually).
I notice no antioxidants in your list. Vitamin E, C, and alphalipoic acid may help with the headaches, too.

P.S. I firmly believe that supplements do better in my body than in the bottle. I got over the "pill-popper" label when I started feeling better.

Thanks for the ideas Larry,
I initially missed your post because I've been on a Psycho Babble sabbatical. But I popped in for a quick "lurk" and saw your post.
