I have to manually type https:// into the top of the page to get a secure page with a new post.

for what do you need a security certificate, Alexandra, when there is no security? If there were you would have choice to opt out and delete. at all times. even if you don't intend to do now, but maybe later.

it will maybe give you a false feeling of being secure but not an actual true experience of security...

I haven't studied computer science or coding or web design. I don't know anything about any of that.

I don't know about security certificates.

I imagine they are some kind of imperfect thing to make it less likely that the site will be hacked.

Less likely that someone will obtain my password and make posts pretending to be me. Less likely to hack the website and replace the photo at the top with pornography.

But I don't know.
