I know it's difficult, Phil, but ignoring offensive people/posts is the best thing you can possibly try to do. There are people/posts that I don't care for here, and I've learned to ignore them and not respond, emotionally or literally.

It was difficult for me, as my PB history shows, but this time around, I think I've finally gotten it into my head that the "offenders" are going to do what they do, and that I cannot control their actions. I don't hit the "notify" button, I don't expect Admin to "protect" me, as I defend the rights of the poster to post what he/she wants to post. And I defend my right to think "eff you", but not post it.

In any case, best of luck!

You're welcome, Phil. I hope it goes a little bit better for you now.

This is my message to all of the folks complaining about "offensive" posts, etc.. With some posters/posts, I wonder if a lot of what we're seeing is just attention-seeking, plain and simple. I figure if it's ignored, they just might give up. To engage with such folks is quite often a trap, like some of the exchanges above. It seems that no answer will satisfy them. Maybe they just like to argue.......

I think your message stands well on its own. Hypothesizing about others isn't necessary (and can be uncivil if posted).

Point taken.

In this specific case, did you feel that my hypothesization was, or bordered upon, incivility? I didn't think so.

Really? How would one know if they were?

Racist whore, fosterers of antisemitism, parasitic bitch and pathetic old nag are hypotheticals and they are acceptable here.

So, it seems Ronnjee could post just about anything.
