Thank you for this post, Sunnydays. Currently my loss of words is keeping me from being able to be of any use here.

And may I remind everyone that this is the Admin board? And so to keep it to administrative subjects...? there go those darn dots again.

thanks so much

> shaken and profoundly OUTRAGED-diff. from stirred?

Yes zen. Within the same construct, but different meanings. To be stirred is to be moved, to feel some emotion or reaction. To be profoundly outraged, including the internet convention of all caps to indicate volume or intensity, is to be much more than stirred.

I'm shocked to see a pun based on my expression of emotions from someone who is such an advocate for those with PTSD, and someone who appears to possess a great deal of empathy for the pain of trauma.

A disappointed gg

There seems to be some confusion (or I'm confused) about the KoolAid comment. I think the original post about KoolAid was made by Dory, and she explained that she did mean Jamestown. Here's the link.

Well I do well in school and I think there is nothing wrong with being proud of that, in fact my T is pleased with my self confidence. It was mainly due to the comment about compairing me to her Psych 101 students, which I am not just a beginner in the field, so it was clarifying. It was implied that I got it mixed up like a typical Psych 101 student.

Posted by GG-

-Lots of my Psych 101 students got those two confused, Happyflower. Don't feel bad. You'd be in good company-

So I was just showing examples that I do know what I am talking about and I am not just a beginning Psych student and I didn't get it mixed up. In fact it was a joke.

As far as the experiments go, there are many simularities you can compair to, in many levels of life, not just babble. I didn't bring up the Stanford incident. That was just one person's assumption.
I would enjoy discussing this on Social if you would like. But it does have something to do with authority, and Dr. Bob wanted to know about how the preception of power influecences Babble. Power takes a role in the person who has it, and the people who have to follow it. I only gave my view point. I have actually gave it a lot of thought and believe there is some good points I made about it.

Didn't stick any nerve with me. You just don't know me very well or know very little about my experience.

i know you're a flower, but stay out of the vegetable garden.

all sorts of things and little creatures grow in mine..........toads, lizards, grasshoppers (they consume my flowers, at times)potato bugs, tomato hornworms, wasps, snakes, terrapins (they are slow but can grab a huge bite out of a sweet cantaloupe) and various other pests.....

can you elaborate? lol

or are you bound to the civil confinements of Babble? YOu have to admit I am getting much better at learning the "Babble Way" LOL

I am a very hearty carnivorous pereinnal who doesn't let pests get the best of me! If they try, chomp, chomp , chomp.

you posted to Dory on that thread, but the remark was *after* and it was a couple weeks ago, so I can see you wouldn't remember every poster's name in every thread and necessarily know what the rest of the thread was about

bummer..unfortunate coincidence...I think the Jonestown reference is far more commonly known and was/is triggering to people here...

Glad to hear it. It's true. I only know what you've repeatedly posted and chatted about as far as your academic experience. That's why I interpreted your talking about it yet again as some sort of emotional reaction to my post. Again, glad to hear I was wrong.

"i've often worried about a poster's real life safety after seeing replies that some posters get from others....including deputies. and lately, it's been awfully hard, with the exception of one person, Dinah, who is writing as a poster or a deputy.....

i don't think that safety is high on the priority list in this community hierarchy......"

that is the second post in Dory's thread. did she mention anything about koolaid or Jtown?

That post was more in regards to the whole thread. Sorry, 1musket, I didn't intend to aim at you specifically in that way.
Just wish this thread would end or go elsewhere cuz I hang on admin and psychology (used to visit social, but not much now). and this is just endless this thread, and doesn't seem to be to the benefit of much.
Thats all.
All good people, just not showing so well here...
:-(
Myself included,
I'll just go now, just didn't want you to misunderstand is all.
This seems to be a troublesome thread all round, myself included.
Best wishes to you musket.
If you want to come to calmer waters come over to psychology :-)

I'm sorry for my role in this conflict. I'm sorry if it's painful to watch and it hurt you.

You painted a lovely picture about life and your kids and beauty earlier (I forget exactly where you wrote it). Can you hold that close and steep in that love?

I'm sorry.

Astonishingly so.
I can turn OFF notifications to this thread!!!
Duh!!!
Usu threads just kinda fade away, so I don't have to.
But now I will.
Good suggestion for any others who are struggling w/this.
You can do it from the blurb in your e-mail box.
Sigh. I amaze myself sometimes :-(
